Chef Desmond Pringle of Gardenia's Custom Cakes and Catering was recommended to us by one of our vendors. Our situation was unusual because Nia and Jason had developed a vision for their wedding and were articulating what they wanted from Pittsburgh, PA. Chef Pringle was very responsive and amazingly professional while working with all parties. The couple selected their wedding cake from one of six sketches proposed by Chef Pringle. Based on the number of guests that were invited and the atmosphere that they were trying to create, Chef Pringle suggested an array of items for a Viennese table to capture the couple’s vision of a reception that was elegant, fun and festive. The cake tasting was a very memorable mother/daughter event, but it was also very difficult to select from the array of options that were provided for the wedding cake. Nia ultimately decided on different flavors for each of the five layers of the wedding cake. Each layer was deliciously amazing! On the actual day of the wedding, Chef Pringle worked beautifully with the other vendors. From the catering service who prepared the meal, to the professional who provided the decorations, to the company who did the lighting, the reception was spectacular and reflected Nia and Jason's vision beautifully! Chef Pringle's cake and confectioneries were as much a part of the decor as the flowers and decorations on each table. Beyond being beautiful the delicious wedding cake was served at the end of the meal as the dessert. Then after games, laughter and good times and towards the end of the reception, the guests were surprised again with the Viennese table consisting of five different types of desserts. A sweet time was had by all! We cannot thank Chef Desmond Pringle and Gardenia's Custom Cakes and Catering for being a part of the team that created an event that those in attendance will never forget.
