    Donna was FANTASTIC to work with! She got to know our group well and brought out their silly/fun side for the wedding photos. And our couple photos on the beach were stunning. Highly recommend her!

    We recently had the pleasure of working with Donna for our wedding reception which took place on Harbour Island in late June 2012. From the beginning of our contact with Donna, she was professional and helpful, offering advice on the best time to host our ceremony on the beach, among other things. When we arrived on the island and finally met with Donna, we were immediately put at ease by her friendly nature and her willingness to tailor the photos to what we were looking for. During our wedding day, to say that Donna became an instant member of the family would be an understatement. She knew the names of our 40 guests within a span of 20 minutes, which made organizing family photographs a much easier task. The shots she arranged were creative and thoughtful, and throughout the process she always made sure everyone was comfortable and included.
    The resulting photographs completely exceeded our expectations – in addition to our posed shots, we truly love the candid photos of our family and friends having dinner and dancing. We could not have expected that the photos would so perfectly capture the spirit of our wedding reception, and the personality of our family and friends.
    I would recommend Donna’s services for any special event without a shadow of a doubt. She is a master of her craft, but more than that, she truly loves what she does and it comes through in her work. A very sincere thank you to Donna for her hard work, cooperation, and dedication.

    We got married on Harbour Island in a stunning setting. Donna made full use of the back drop, providing us with some beautiful photos to treasure for the rest of our lives.

    Donna took beautiful, creative photos at my wedding in Harbour Island, Bahamas. I was surprised at how quickly she provided the final product and the quality of the shots. The action / spur of the moment shots were her forte! Donna was a pleasure to work with.

    Beyond most perfect expectations

    When my husband and I decided to get married while on vacation on Harbor Island- Donna was recommended to us to photograph the occasion.

    No one can believe that we had no previous relationship with Donna- the pictures were/are so spectacular and personable- it seemed impossible that nothing had been prearranged.

    They are among the most beautiful wedding pictures I have ever seen... Needless to say, I highly recommend her.

    Donna did a superb job as our wedding photographer on Harbour island, Bahamas. She did an excellent jo. Very professional and fun to work with . The photos are superb. I give her my highest recommendation.

    Working with Donna was an absolute blast. She was organized and professional from the first time we emailed back and forth. It was not lost on me how hard it must be to work with clients who are 3,000 miles away and she was on top of everything! Once we got together she did a fantastic job of making everyone comfortable while still shooting in a timely manner. Neither of us is very comfortable in front of a camera and she allowed us to have a private moment together and took photos of the "real stuff". She even followed up the next morning with a personal phone call to let us know she had posted a preview on facebook. Very classy. Her pricing is amazing and she was a joy to work with. I'd 100% recommend her photography. Thanks, Donna!

    We were fortunate enough to be married on Harbour Island and equally fortunate to have Donna as our photographer. Her work is fabulous and very creative. She was excellent at capturing all the key moments, helped us create some awesome photo opportunities, listened to what we wanted and almost as important as anything else was FUN to work with! We laughed and laughed and had a completely stress free and non-invasive experience, unlike other photographers that I have seen in action.

    We are so happy that Donna Whitfield DeCosta Photography was able to capture our special day in the most perfect way. For us using a young,fresh and talented photographer, who also just happened to be a local on our island was brilliant. Would recommend every time!!

    We were married at Pink Sands in Harbour Island and Donna did an extraordinary job in creating photographs that I will always cherish. She is very talented and trustworthy- I highly recommend her!

    Donna is a gem, a truly amazing local photographer who is really fun and works hard to capture some fabulous shots. She is a fabulous photographer and I love her work!

    Donna is extremely personable and has a great eye for capturing the perfect shot. She demonstrates superb creativity in her work, and simply thinks of things that no one else would. She is a lovely person and just someone that you would love to meet as part of your Harbour Island experience.

    For our wedding photographs, Donna insisted on meeting with us prior to the big day to survey the setting for the ceremony and to ask us about the types of photographs that we wanted her to capture. She made some excellent recommendations based on her experience and her knowledge of the island setting, lighting, time of year and other factors.

    During our wedding ceremony, she took photographs of the ceremony and the signing of the marriage license, and suggested that we take additional photos in different locations within the resort. However, Donna went the extra mile, literally, and also took us to a few different places on the island in a rented golf cart so that we could capture additional photos. She even stayed with us until the sunset so that we could get some good shots on the beach.

    After just a couple of hours spent together, the result was hundreds of gorgous photographs that give us wonderful memories of our wedding day and our time spent together on Harbour Island.

    This is an update to my review regarding Donna. I am happy to say I have finally received my photos. She had been waiting to get her new computer in the mail. Photos are great and I am glad to have them!

    I had contacted Donna regarding family portraits while vacationing in Spanish Wells Bahamas. She seemed really professional and made the photo shoot for our family fun. We emailed back and forth in the beginning, and stated she was going to send me a link to the photos so I could view them. I am sad to say that I have not received anything from Donna and she is not returning my emails. I am really disappointed in her. She turned out to be unreliable and not professional at all. I paid her for her time and service and I am shut out.
