John and I have been in each others lives for 9 years, and have definitely had our share of ups and downs. He grew up in Burbank, CA, and I grew up in Folsom, CA (yes where the prison is). We met online actually, when I was a sophomore in high school and John was a junior. We got to know each other over the next year or so, talking almost everyday either through instant messaging or on the phone (after my parents saw the phone bill however that quickly changed). After a lot of discussing we felt that it was time we actually put a name to a face. At this point John had moved up to Santa Rosa with his father so the trip would be a lot easier than trying to drive from Southern California. It was probably the most nerve racking moment in my life when I heard the doorbell. But to make a long story short after having lunch and getting to know one another John said good bye, which was kind of awkward with the parents there. Over the next year or so we kept in touch, but being the teenager I was I decided I wasn't ready for kind of commitment that John was. Needless to say he was less than thrilled to hear this. We had falling out, and didn't end up crossing paths again until I was in college at San Francisco State University. Time had passed, we had both grown up and were ready to try this whole relationship thing again. The only problem was that, at the time I was already in a committed relationship...a very unhealthy one to say the least. So I got up the courage to leave the previous boyfriend and have never looked back. John and I have been together for 5 years, living life, learning lessons, and building memories. This is a good start to our story, I will edit and add more as I get the time =)
