I met Walter through a mutual friend. One night, I had plans for dinner with our friend and on my way to the restaurant he called and said, "My friend Walter just called to see if I wanted to hang out. Do you mind if he joins us?" I didn't mind, so I told him it was no problem. I got to the restaurant first and was seated. While going through the menu, they boys finally showed up. Walter sat down next to me and introduced himself. Dinner was a lot of fun, and [he will deny this forever] at one point, Walter said, "Hey...do you have any single friends I could meet?" I told him I'd think about it and see who I could find. A couple weeks later, he added me on Facebook. We hung out a few more times (with our mutual friend always around), and we quickly became good friends. He went out on dates. I went out on dates. We were friends. By this point, he had met most of my friends and they insisted he had a crush on me, and while I had a small crush on him, I never admitted it and denied their crazy ideas of him liking me.  One day, he said "Let's try to see if we can hang out every day for a week". I agreed and by this point, we had started hanging out just the two of us. We hung out a week straight (and then some), and one day he invited me to a friend's daughter's birthday party. We went with two other friends of his. Turns out we got the times wrong, and missed the entire party, but his friend had us hang out and eat leftovers. Afterwards, we all drove back to his house and his friends left. I was getting ready to go and he said "Hey...do you maybe wanna watch a movie or something? It's still early." I said sure and we watched Rachel Getting Married. He was fidgeting throughout the entire movie and couldn't sit still. Finally the movie ended and we were sitting there talking when he said, "I have to tell you something..." I asked him what and he basically told me that we had a great friendship but he saw us being something amazing if we could be more than friends. It basically went from there and we've been together since May 2009 :) I couldn't be happier and I am so excited that we found each other and that we're going to spend the rest of our lives together.
