My fiancé, Martin, and I have been together for 4 years. We both served as Peace Corps volunteers and moved to Colorado shortly after our service ended. We met through mutual friends, also Peace Corps volunteers, who made sure our first date happened. We got engaged 10/10/18 on a backpacking trip. We at first wanted to elope, but our parents found out and asked for something more that they could be involved in. We're now planning an intimate ceremony and reception in our small Colorado town of Mancos, CO.
