It was Christmas morning 2011. We had plan to go to both of our families. Kelley made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we gave Diamond and Lilo their presents. Kelley was going to start getting ready for the day when the next thing she knows Derick is on one knee saying "Will you Marry Me?" (Okay for all Kelley knows he could have said anything else, she was completely taken off guard). Kelley responded with "Are you for real right now?" She put the ring on her finger and Derick had to ask if that was a yes. Side note: 2 days before Christmas we were at Matus winery with Kelleys dad and stepmom, Dericks mom and Peter, Dericks best man. Well Peter had been saying for a while that he knew what Kelley was getting for Christmas and that night after a few glasses of wine he told Becky, Kelleys stepmom, what Kelley was getting my making a pointing motion to his hand. He thought Kelley couldn't see but she could. Kelley still didn't believe it.
