Wedding details
Our Story.....Hmmmmm, where does one begin. Do I start with the FACT that I can still remember to this day the first time Sarah touched me. It was Freshman Year at Woodbury HS, Choir was first hour and I along with all the other students in Ms. Starr's class showed up with singing being the last thing on my mind. I took my seat in the middle of the top row when Ms. Starr suddenly tells us all to turn and get backrubs from the person next to us.....Or, find someone in class who needs a partner and help them out. I turned and........well first I saw a guy (that wasn't going to work with me, at the time) then I looked beyond him and saw Sarah Murphy kinda standing at the end of the row with her hands cupped in front of her kind of shrugging....... I JUMPED........and it was the best thing I ever did.......I knew the minute she touched me I WAS IN LOVE.......... Well, after 3 years of chatting with her on the phone every night for 5 minutes (no more, no less....her folks wouldn't allow it) She graduated and we lost touch.........She got married........and I was having health issues...... then the miracle happened........... 22 years after we lost touch, I was on FACEBOOK and "Andrew Wheeler" showed up as a suggestion for a friend. I OK'd him as a friend and was seeing who else from Woodbury I could find when Sarah's name popped up..........HOLY COW.......I clicked on the link and flipped (her info showed DIVORCED) YAHOO!!!!!!!!!! Well, it didn't take me more than 2 minutes to e-mail her "Sarah, is this you and is your status correct, ARE YOU DIVORCED......." and the rest is history-we were engaged within one month. I simply told her the truth.....I would never lose her again ever......... That's Jim's side of "our story" So, if that is Jim's side...there must be a Sarah's side, right? I also remember the morning backrubs which, by the way, were something many of us looked forward to. I also remember Jim being very persistent in asking me to go out with him...so I finally said, "yes". He was elated and as I rode the school bus home that afternoon, the realization hit me that I was not old enough to have a boyfriend or date, and that I would have to let my parents in on this little secret. I was not allowed to date until I was sixteen and that was 2 years away...Hmmmm, what was a girl to do? LIke clockwork, Jim made his nightly telephone call, and all I could think to do was tell him that we should "just be friends". Looking back, I realize that I had broken his heart, but he was way too nice to say so. I am so glad to have had this second chance to get to know and love him again, and I look forward to a long and happy life together. Hang around, and you may hear the story of our first date...he made me cry! Jim here. She had to bring up the first date.....Wow, what can I say. I think we were both so excited about finding one another again that we were like kids in a candy store. Most of you know me and the way I have a tough time shutting up once I start talking. Well, Sarah got to see that first hand. I am sure the people in the Ruby Tuesdays at Rosedale thought we were nuts. But, we were having fun. I had no idea that this meet and greet was going to turn into what it did. But....afterward we were standing next to her car and the next thing I knew she was in my arms CRYING. after probably the best kiss I had received in a long time. what made me crack up was she looked into my eyes and...............very factually stated......."that was our first kiss" I was in shock. Holy Cow she was right!!!!!!! 22 years of waiting to kiss her. 22 years of wondering IF she was a good kisser or not....22 years of wondering why she just left me hanging after only 8 hours of going out. and BAM like a freight train it hit me........NO WAY was I going to let her get away.... And no matter what she says....SHE KISSED ME FIRST....... I wasn't expecting it at all but......was I going to argue....HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would you.............
