Wedding details
It's funny when you meet a really great friend. But it's even better when you fall in love. That's our story. Carl and I were introduced by his brother, Kelby. I was invited to hang out with the brothers and with nothing else to do of course I accepted. Carl complemented me a lot but I thought nothing of it. I figured he was just being nice. I was a couple quarters shy of graduating college and my mind was no where near finding love. I guess that's what makes our journey that much more special. After months of talking on the phone, spontaneous weekend visits and tons of cards we knew that we were meant to be in each other's life. January 17th, 2009 Carl took things back to grade school. Will you be my girlfriend? Yes, No or Maybe? Of course I said yes. Who could resist that smile? From there we had a fun loving courtship until he popped the big question, Monday, December 6th, 2010. Our proposal was just as unique as us. We got engaged on a Monday! As random as it sounds it as so perfect. Carl decided to reenact our first dinner date. He asked me to "get sharp" because he was taking me out. At first I had hesitation because at the time Carl lived and worked in Akron. I didn't understand how we could go to dinner if he wasn't in town. Being a go with the flow kind of girl, I decided not to question the random evening out and I agreed. Carl took me to dinner at my favorite restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory. This was the first place we ever went on a date. We entered the restaurant and were immediately escorted to a quaint booth in the back. This NEVER happens. There's always a wait. I thought to myself it had to be because it was a Monday and thought nothing of it. When we got to our table Carl began to ramble on about how much he loved me and enjoyed our time together. I began to laugh because everything he said ryhmed! I was totally confused on where this was going when he suddenly stopped his song/speech and got down on one knee. He asked me to take his hand just as I took his heart and join him on this journey we call life and promise to never let go. Of course I said yes. And in true Brandi and Carl fashion -- WE LAUGHED and took a shot of Tequilla. With Carl my smile is always brighter because we share a love that is only given as a gift from God. I'm his Babydoll and he's my Sweet Hot Thang. :)

2485 days agoIt was such a great day. There was rain but the rain somehow went away 30 minutes before we began to walk. The rain cooled it off and made for an awesome Friday evening wedding. Such happiness and joy. Sad that a great deal of DH's family didn't make...
