The first month of getting to know eachother was a pretty fun time for the two of us. Since Danny is not from Chicago, we decided our first date should be at Wrigley Field so he could experience atleast one Chicago sports event while he was here for school. We attended on April 2nd 2011 with a few friends and it was all uphill from there. In the months to follow we were only able to spend very little time together due to the schedule of his schooling and restrictions of the Navy. Most of our courting was spent talking on the phone for hours on end, falling asleep with the phone glued to our ears, and eagerly awaiting that phone call that would determine whether or not we were able to see eachother for the weekend ahead. Getting to the place that we are right now came with many hardships that we were able to successfully over come in the time we have been together. While he was in Chicago we were only able to spend a short amount of time together, only one weekend a month was a full weekend, one weekend we were unable to see eachother, and two weekends out of the month we had one full day together. That one weekend and few days a month we were together unfortuately were spent at my weekend job, although it wasnt ideal, we made the best of our time together watching movies, talking and learning more about one another. Weekend nights we became an old couple and enjoyed time on the couch together and with Baylin, if we were feisty we would call a few friends up and head to a local restaraunt for drinks and live music. When we were not confined to the walls of the paint store we had fun taking Baylin out to his favorite places and enjoying the Chicago area and all that it has to offer. Our time together has been full of many ups and downs but our love for one another continues to grow. We knew for a while that we wanted to be together, and marriage was certainly in our close future. We announced to our families our intentions in February this year during our trip from Miami to his new destination in San Diego. Months without seeing each other has immensley strengthened our relationship and we welcome any situation we face with open minds and open hearts. We cannot wait until the three of us are under one roof and we are able to finally be able to be together as a family.
