It's amazing to think that Chris and I have known each other for over ten years, possibly closer to fifteen! Lines are a little blurry since it was such a long time ago, and Chris was not always a love interest. He started off as a very good friend of my brother's, way back in high school. When my brother, Kris, became a frequent host to his high school friends, a tight knit group formed and many times found themselves at my house when I was in junior high. Several years passed, yet this trend continued, even when I was in high school and my brothers friends would come home from college. In that time, a connection grew between Chris and myself. First it started off because we could geek out about books, namely Harry Potter. That's right. Then we started sharing books with each other and sharing television shows or movies. I was well aware of my school girl crush and tried (and failed) to not to put constant hope in this impossibility of a relationship. But look how far we've come! When I went away to college, things finally clicked for the two of us. It has been six years since Chris and I got together and it has been a whirlwind of a ride. We are ready to start the next chapter in our lives and get hitched! I couldn't be happier to start a life with one of my best friends and we want to share the experience with our loved ones.
