I truly appreciate every staff member's role in making our wedding weekend so amazing! The venue is so beautiful and my husband and I are so happy we made the decision to have our wedding here. Chelsea was beyond helpful with guiding me through the planning process. She was so patient and understanding through it all! I would recommend the Lighthouse Cove 100%

We had the BEST wedding at this venue! The entire team at The Hyatt, Lighthouse Cove in Dewey Beach, DE are fantastic! Chelsea Johnson and Kate Galloway made our event memorable and magical. “Read to the end for a surprise.” They set up on the beach, they set up on the deck, they set up in the room. An additional ballroom is available but why get married on a beach to then just sit in a ballroom. So we had it all on the deck and their pre-function room. Plenty of space for 150. They coordinated with all our other fantastic vendors. They had plenty of recommendation's and were there with us from start and then even way after the finish. We had a cocktail reception with passings and stations with food and two bars. The food was extremely delicious and yes, Lauren, the banquet manager, made sure we ate. Prepped our plates for us and made sure we sat down. We had late night bites and if you have never had funnel fries then you are not living your best life. Signature drinks, beautiful view right on the bay. They coordinated a block of rooms for guests and the front desk staff were very accommodating. You should only use BBJ LaTavola for linens. Staff will guide you with that and take care of the returns. SHOUT OUT TO CHELSEA! Lost my ‘deceased’ grandmother’s diamond tennis bracelet. Two days after the wedding of not finding it, Chelsea “army crawled” under the deck with a flashlight. SHE FOUND IT! Right under where I was dancing on top of the sand. Chelsea was the guardian angel all the way!

We had a tour of the Lighthouse Cove last year while trying to find a waterfront wedding venue. When we first met Ashlee who gave us the tour and all the details, we knew we absolutely had to have part of our wedding weekend at Hyatt Place and the Lighthouse Cove. Unfortunately, our desired wedding date wasn't available, so we wound up doing our room block at Hyatt and hosting our farewell brunch at the Lighthouse Cove. Even though our actual wedding wasn't even taking place there, it didn't stop us from having the most amazing hospitality from the staff at Hyatt Place. Ashlee went above and beyond every step of the way, not only taking care of us, but also all of our guests. Jacque who ran our brunch was awesome, and people are still raving about the food that was on their brunch menu. We can't say enough about how amazing it was to work with Ashlee and the rest of the staff here. If you want one less thing to stress about during your wedding planning, choose the Hyatt/Lighthouse Cove for your event!!

My husband and I had our wedding at The Lighthouse Cove Event Center on 7/8/23 and it was the best experience! The view is perfect and all the employees went above and beyond to make our day perfect. We had so many guests call days later saying how good the food was, and how much fun they had. I would highly recommend The Hyatt as your wedding venue!!

We had our wedding at lighthouse on 7/15/2023. It was absolutely the most perfect day!!! The venue is GORGEOUS and so much space for only the wedding— a ballroom, a prefunction (picture giant open room with all windows on two walls, and the entire deck. Perfect because there was a backup indoor space/plan but we didn’t need it. The staff treated us like royalty. And the food was DELICIOUS- everyone said it was the best wedding food they ever had. My husband and I are foodies and were SO impressed. Also, our 2 year old golden retriever was able to be in the ceremony :). The staff did beautiful with setting up and for future brides— this venue decorates AND tear down for you so everyone can truly enjoy themselves. 10/10 I wish I could relieve this day over and over

We are so happy we chose this venue for our wedding! Lighthouse offers a great location, beautiful views, and a fun atmosphere, which is what led us to choosing here. But working with Lisa Wilgus was the best bonus. Lisa is simply WONDERFUL. She and her team go above and beyond to accommodate all your needs and she is so kind and caring, like a wedding fairy godmother. She made our day a breeze and you can tell she really cares about her clients and will do anything to make their day special! She is such a hard worker and it felt like we were working with a friend or family member. She really knows her stuff and is always on top of every detail. The venue speaks for itself, but the staff is what makes this place perfect. We are so thankful for the chef, amazing staff, and Lisa for making our day a dream come true! We love you, Lisa!

Our wedding on September 18, 2022 was absolutely perfect. We have been vacationing in the Rehoboth/Dewey area for over a decade and knew this was where we wanted to get married. Upon meeting with Lisa in January 2021, we knew we would be in excellent hands. We were immediately treated like family and knew we weren't just another customer to not only Lisa but to the entire staff of Lighthouse Cove/Hyatt. Since all of our guests would be traveling from NJ to DE, we wanted to make it a weekend-long event, which Lisa worked her magic to make happen. A beautiful bonfire on the bayside the night before, a fantastic reception, and brunch the following morning. Everything was organized perfectly and went off without a single worry on our end. On the day of the wedding, we learned that our cake from a local vendor did not arrive. Lisa and her team worked to try and contact the vendor to no avail. With little to no time left to get it done, Lisa and her team quickly resolved the issue and had a cake ready for the ceremony. Our guests said the cake was amazing and had no clue it wasn't the planned cake until we told them. Now for the venue... perfect, perfect, perfect. The Hyatt itself is easily one of the best hotels in the area and has consistently been our go-to place to stay. The view of the bay is unmatched. Our ceremony was on the deck and was set up perfectly, the pictures are phenomenal. During the cocktail hour, the pre-function space was a huge hit. During the reception, having access to the main ballroom, pre-function area, and deck with firepits gave every guest a choice of location for what fit them best. The food was incredible and went above and beyond our expectations. All of our guests commented on how amazing the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres were. And the crab cakes?! The best you'll find in the area. Overall we could not be any happier with our day. Lisa, Hannah, Maeson, and Jacque (plus all of the other wonderful staff) made our wedding dreams come true and we will forever be a part of the Lighthouse Cove/Hyatt family!

Our wedding July 23, 2022 was amazingly beautiful, it was everything we dreamed it would be. Our guests were looking forward to our wedding as much as we were. Most of our guests traveled to our destination, it was said to us that it was the wedding of the century. We knew after meeting with Lisa Wilgus, director of catering and event service that this venue was unlike any other venue in the area and was the venue of our choice. The Lighthouse Cove Event Center food is delicious and was well prepared. We were so incredibly happy with all the staff at the Lighthouse and highly recommend this venue.

We could not be happier with our wedding at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center. My husband and I got married on June 25, 2022. We had our ceremony on the bayside beach and our reception in the Sunset Room. Lisa and her staff really made our wedding weekend so special. From the considerate surprises throughout the weekend to the attentive service, we were truly able to relax and just enjoy the entire weekend. We booked our wedding at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center after our first tour of the venue. The water views are stunning, the on-site hotel is perfect for guests, and the central Dewey Beach location is ideal! Plus, we knew that we wanted to work with Lisa and her wonderful staff! She was so helpful and reassuring during the entire process. We even had an issue with our original florist just a few weeks before our wedding and Lisa kept us calm and put us in contact with a different vendor who really brought our entire vision to life.

We couldn’t have done this without her! Our guests are still talking about the delicious food and excellent service.

In addition to our wedding, we hosted a morning after brunch in the Prefunction Room the next morning with a large buffet of delicious breakfast foods and it was a hit! Lisa and her staff made sure to carry over leftover flower arrangements, centerpieces, and our audio guestbook. They even played our slideshow from the night before. It was stunning! All of our friends and family talk about wanting to repeat this weekend over and over exactly the same way, and my husband and I already plan to spend our anniversaries at the Hyatt in Dewey for years to come. We are so grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of the Lighthouse Cove Event Center!

Words cannot express our appreciate for Lisa Wilgus and her team. Truly exceptional - I want to cry! She is the ultimate wedding planner. She handled every detail, last minute change, inconvenience, all of it… like a BOSS. A true queen. We love her so much! The event center speaks for its self - breathtaking. Stunning. Rain or shine! Hire her, you will not regret it!
