Flawless, Perfect,
We had our wedding at lighthouse on 7/15/2023. It was absolutely the most perfect day!!! The venue is GORGEOUS and so much space for only the wedding— a ballroom, a prefunction (picture giant open room with all windows on two walls, and the entire deck. Perfect because there was a backup indoor space/plan but we didn’t need it. The staff treated us like royalty. And the food was DELICIOUS- everyone said it was the best wedding food they ever had. My husband and I are foodies and were SO impressed. Also, our 2 year old golden retriever was able to be in the ceremony :). The staff did beautiful with setting up and for future brides— this venue decorates AND tear down for you so everyone can truly enjoy themselves. 10/10 I wish I could relieve this day over and over -

Beautiful Venue
My husband and I had our wedding at The Lighthouse Cove Event Center on 7/8/23 and it was the best experience! The view is perfect and all the employees went above and beyond to make our day perfect. We had so many guests call days later saying how good the food was, and how much fun they had. I would highly recommend The Hyatt as your wedding venue!! -

We are so happy we chose this venue for our wedding! Lighthouse offers a great location, beautiful views, and a fun atmosphere, which is what led us to choosing here. But working with Lisa Wilgus was the best bonus. Lisa is simply WONDERFUL. She and her team go above and beyond to accommodate all your needs and she is so kind and caring, like a wedding fairy godmother. She made our day a breeze and you can tell she really cares about her clients and will do anything to make their day special! She is such a hard worker and it felt like we were working with a friend or family member. She really knows her stuff and is always on top of every detail. The venue speaks for itself, but the staff is what makes this place perfect. We are so thankful for the chef, amazing staff, and Lisa for making our day a dream come true! We love you, Lisa! -

Our wedding on September 18, 2022 was absolutely perfect. We have been vacationing in the Rehoboth/Dewey area for over a decade and knew this was where we wanted to get married. Upon meeting with Lisa in January 2021, we knew we would be in excellent hands. We were immediately treated like family and knew we weren't just another customer to not only Lisa but to the entire staff of Lighthouse Cove/Hyatt. Since all of our guests would be traveling from NJ to DE, we wanted to make it a weekend-long event, which Lisa worked her magic to make happen. A beautiful bonfire on the bayside the night before, a fantastic reception, and brunch the following morning. Everything was organized perfectly and went off without a single worry on our end. On the day of the wedding, we learned that our cake from a local vendor did not arrive. Lisa and her team worked to try and contact the vendor to no avail. With little to no time left to get it done, Lisa and her team quickly resolved the issue and had a cake ready for the ceremony. Our guests said the cake was amazing and had no clue it wasn't the planned cake until we told them. Now for the venue... perfect, perfect, perfect. The Hyatt itself is easily one of the best hotels in the area and has consistently been our go-to place to stay. The view of the bay is unmatched. Our ceremony was on the deck and was set up perfectly, the pictures are phenomenal. During the cocktail hour, the pre-function space was a huge hit. During the reception, having access to the main ballroom, pre-function area, and deck with firepits gave every guest a choice of location for what fit them best. The food was incredible and went above and beyond our expectations. All of our guests commented on how amazing the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres were. And the crab cakes?! The best you'll find in the area. Overall we could not be any happier with our day. Lisa, Hannah, Maeson, and Jacque (plus all of the other wonderful staff) made our wedding dreams come true and we will forever be a part of the Lighthouse Cove/Hyatt family! -

Our wedding July 23, 2022 was amazingly beautiful, it was everything we dreamed it would be. Our guests were looking forward to our wedding as much as we were. Most of our guests traveled to our destination, it was said to us that it was the wedding of the century. We knew after meeting with Lisa Wilgus, director of catering and event service that this venue was unlike any other venue in the area and was the venue of our choice. The Lighthouse Cove Event Center food is delicious and was well prepared. We were so incredibly happy with all the staff at the Lighthouse and highly recommend this venue.

We could not be happier with our wedding at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center. My husband and I got married on June 25, 2022. We had our ceremony on the bayside beach and our reception in the Sunset Room. Lisa and her staff really made our wedding weekend so special. From the considerate surprises throughout the weekend to the attentive service, we were truly able to relax and just enjoy the entire weekend. We booked our wedding at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center after our first tour of the venue. The water views are stunning, the on-site hotel is perfect for guests, and the central Dewey Beach location is ideal! Plus, we knew that we wanted to work with Lisa and her wonderful staff! She was so helpful and reassuring during the entire process. We even had an issue with our original florist just a few weeks before our wedding and Lisa kept us calm and put us in contact with a different vendor who really brought our entire vision to life.
We couldn’t have done this without her! Our guests are still talking about the delicious food and excellent service.
In addition to our wedding, we hosted a morning after brunch in the Prefunction Room the next morning with a large buffet of delicious breakfast foods and it was a hit! Lisa and her staff made sure to carry over leftover flower arrangements, centerpieces, and our audio guestbook. They even played our slideshow from the night before. It was stunning! All of our friends and family talk about wanting to repeat this weekend over and over exactly the same way, and my husband and I already plan to spend our anniversaries at the Hyatt in Dewey for years to come. We are so grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of the Lighthouse Cove Event Center! -

Above and Beyond
Words cannot express our appreciate for Lisa Wilgus and her team. Truly exceptional - I want to cry! She is the ultimate wedding planner. She handled every detail, last minute change, inconvenience, all of it… like a BOSS. A true queen. We love her so much! The event center speaks for its self - breathtaking. Stunning. Rain or shine! Hire her, you will not regret it! -

The Wedding Of Our Dreams
My Husband and I got married on November 13th, 2021, and I have wanted to relive that day every day since. PLEASE do yourself a favor and at least go check out this venue. For me, it hit all the important factors that I knew I wanted in a venue. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out, plus it's attached to a great hotel for you and your guests to stay in. What really sealed the deal for me was Lisa, the venue's wedding coordinator. From Day 1 she made us feel like we were family. She is caring, understanding, and extremely attentive and helpful. We met the rest of the staff on the day of our wedding, and they too went above and beyond to make sure we, and our guests, were well taken care of. The only hiccup we had that day was a quick change in weather which moved our ceremony indoors. It was JUST as beautiful! I could go on forever about the Lighthouse Cove Event Center team, the venue itself, and the hotel. I could not have asked for anything better! -

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Lighthouse Cove Event Center. And we cannot thank the Hyatt Place staff enough for going above and beyond for our wedding weekend. We originally selected the venue for the beautiful deck, ballroom, and the amazing views. When everything was said and done, we are just so grateful to have picked a venue with event coordinators and staff that made us feel so special, like family. I felt so at ease knowing that they would handle any curve ball that came our way. We love Lisa & her team!!! -

Wedding Perfection
My Husband and I got married on October 2nd, 2021, and I have been thinking about how perfect our day was since. We joke and say we would like to do it over again because it was so enjoyable. For my husband and I, we knew we were going to choose this venue from the start of our engagement. It checked off everything we wanted in a venue and more. We knew that we wanted to have the hotel attached to our venue for the convenience of our guest and to create a seamless Wedding Day. After we went on our tour and we’re treated like the most important guest in the world and then met Lisa, we knew that it was the perfect fit for our special day. Lisa, Yvonne, and the rest of the event staff went above and beyond to make sure we, and our guests, were well taken care of and beyond. The only hiccup we had that there was a miscommunication about our flower delivery and Lisa kept me calm and was able to contact the other vendor 10 minutes before our ceremony and fix everything! I could go on forever about the Lighthouse Cove Event Center team, the venue itself, and the hotel. I could not have asked for anything better! Best Wedding Venue!
Lighthouse Cove Event Center was the best venue for a wedding. Lisa and Yvonne were awesome and they helped to make the wedding day go smoothly. The views from the beach/deck are the best and my guests were talking about how much they loved this venue. Not only did they provide excellent customer service, but the food was tasty and the drinks were perfect! Do not hesitate to book your beach wedding at Hyatt/Lighthouse Cove Event Center!! -

Lisa, Samantha, Yvonne and the entire Lighthouse Cove and Hyatt team went above and beyond to make our dream wedding happen. We (and our guests) were wowed with the venue. From the sweet surprise touches throughout the weekend to the tireless support on the day of, they went absolutely above and beyond to take care of us and make the day a dream come true! Not only is the venue just spectacular in and of itself- a beach wedding and stunning reception deck overlooking the sunset, the team behind it all can't be beat! We were so thankful to have had our wedding there! It was more than we could have hoped for! -

Beautiful waterfront venue
When my husband and I were looking at venues to get married at, we knew we wanted a waterfront view. Lisa & the staff at Lighthouse Event Center, made our decision that much easier from their friendliness, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Not to mention the food and views were amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make it the wedding of our dreams! Our day couldn’t of been more perfect and we couldn’t of been more grateful to all that helped out! -

My husband and I got married at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center/Hyatt Place Dewey Beach on 8.7.2021. From start to finish, my experience with the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach was top notch. Lisa and Samantha in the Sales Office were very responsive to emails and phone calls. Yvonne was our butler the day of the wedding and MY GOSH... she was SUPER attentive. We had such a beautiful wedding weekend (despite the rain). The sales and banquets team did a spectacular job at executing the entire weekend. The chef was awesome! Food so delicious, short rib soooo tender. I very much recommend this venue for a wedding and group of rooms! They did a remarkable job. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue! I fell in love with this place when I first saw it on Wedding Wire and even MORE in love when we got to tour it in person!! I knew once I left no other place could compare! Six months later and we’re still showered with compliments about our wedding there! Everyone raved about how great all the food was! They even let me creat my own signature drink for the night! (Which I hope they kept it with the cute name too.. wink wink) The venue is super spacious, which is definitely great with the Covid virus, so you don’t feel cramped at all! Having the sun set over the bay was breathtaking! All the staff was immensely helpful, friendly, and always answered any questions/ concerns in a timely manner. They all really went above and beyond to make they day as perfect as can be! You won’t find a better venue I can promise you that! I wish I could relive my time there over and over again. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! -

In October 2019, my husband proposed to me after dating for 5 years. Within just a few short days, we found the Lighthouse Cove Event Center online and felt drawn to the beauty of the facility so we reached out to the venue and the next day we had a phone conference with Lisa!
We immediately felt her warmth and understood her love and deep knowledge for her profession! A few weeks later we visited the site and decided that this would be our location... we were elated! Both my husband and I love the water and sunsets and we simply couldn't find a better venue with the service, views, location, amenities, and people that LHC had to offer.
Our date was originally set for March 27th 2021, but Covid surged and so with Lisa's patience and guidance we moved the date to May 15th. Unfortunately, we had family and guests who were still uncomfortable so we decided to move our date to April 2, 2022.
Lisa treated us with kindness and understanding. She was patient and did not make us feel guilty for our decision... she worked diligently to help us make the changes needed. She is truly the most professional person who truly cares about the people she is working with more than anyone I have ever met.
We ended up having a micro wedding in May of last year and a big celebration at Lighthouse Cove just this month.... and it was amazing. Every detail was perfect. Every need was met. (I have a lot of food allergies.) Every staff member was kind and professional. It was an amazing night that Lisa and her staff worked so hard to make sure went off without a hitch.
No matter how organized or disorganized you are... no matter if this is going to be a huge wedding or a small celebration (we had about 50 people)... you will be cared for like family. And at the end of the day... shouldn't we all feel like family?
Thank you Lisa, Mae, Joe, Chef, and all of the other hard working staff members who made our day special.... you are forever in our hearts! -

I cannot recommend Lighthouse Cove Events Center enough! This year has been crazy due to covid and their team was so accommodating and worked with us to reschedule and plan a wonderful day. Not only were they great leading up to the wedding, but the service the day off was incredible, the food was amazing (we still have friends telling us how good it was!), and the experience was everything you could ask for and more during a stressful day. Thank you to everyone at Lighthouse Cove for making our wedding day the happiest day of our lives
