I held my shower at Market on River and absolutely loved it! The team was incredibly accommodating and made the setup process so easy. The space itself is warm, inviting, and beautiful — our guests kept commenting on how stunning the building was. I also stayed in one of the on-site Airbnb/apartment units, which made getting ready that morning so convenient and stress-free. The staff provided wonderful recommendations for local activities and nearby lodging, which was such a helpful touch for out-of-town guests. I would highly recommend Market on River for a shower, wedding, or special event! The cost was also well worth the benefits and flexibility.

We were married in July 2018 at Lake Wissota and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Shannon, their stellar Wedding Director, has templates and timelines to use so that her staff are prepared for the day of. When we got to the venue everything was set exactly how we planned. Their staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Lake Wissota requires you to use their kitchen versus bringing in a caterer and it was definitely well worth it. We decided on a plated dinner and everyone's meal was fresh and hot! Lake Wissota was incredibly flexible - literally everything we asked for, Shannon was up to the task. We would highly recommend Lake Wissota! Thank you for giving us a beautiful day!

This was the perfect venue for what I was looking for: outdoor ceremony (extra bonus is on a lake), do-it-yourself rustic theme. You rent the area from Friday to Sunday AM, and basically do all the set-up, take-down and clean up yourself. We saved a ton of money this way, and did a lot of DIY. People told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We lucked out since the weather was really nice, too! You have the option to rent cabins right on the venue, and we rented a main cabin for the parents and bridal party (sleeps 12), and we rented a barracks cabin for any guests who wanted to stay there (sleeps 20, but only 2 people used it). The barracks cabin was also great for the guys to use to get ready while I was getting ready in the main cabin. I would highly recommend this venue. My friend also was married here a few years back, which is how we discovered this venue. We are from Milwaukee, but decided it was worth it to have a "semi-destination" wedding! The main person who runs the show is really nice and informative as well, and we didn't have any problems while we were there.
