Church & Temple Wedding Venues in Texas

We are members of Plymouth United Church so it was a natural decision to have a wedding there. Even if we weren't members the location is excellent, the sanctuary where the ceremony is held is just wonderful and the people who helped us truly care. I highly recommend Plymouth as a wedding venue.

The venue is so simple, classy and divine all at once, all of the guests were amazed by the uniqueness of the venue everyone was asking how I found the place! Our ceremony was as revered as I had hoped. Great location, perfect for intimate wedding which was our goal! Highly recommend.

We truly could not have picked a more beautiful venue than Stillwater Meadow for our wedding. From the first tour, we knew it was special. The property is absolutely gorgeous, so peaceful, and every part of the venue photographed beautifully. The entire day flowed so smoothly, and the staff was always kind, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was, especially during sunset. We are so happy we chose Stillwater Meadow and honestly could not imagine getting married anywhere else.

Everything about Brookwood was amazing, professional, and simple. I was initially worried about how casual it looked, but the cafe looked completely different on our wedding day! The staff dimmed the lights and the room looked very romantic with the candles we had as center pieces. They have full length table cloths, but our flower decorator started setting up before Brookwood put the long table cloths on. Our pictures were beautiful, especially with the stained glass in the chapel. The food was the BEST, our tasting was the most enjoyable part of wedding planning! We had a lot of food and even had a lot of leftovers. The food is included at Brookwood, so we didn't have to do additional planning. We had alcohol, but a few people told me the actually preferred Brookwoods Apple Mint Tea- highly recommend trying it! I was initially worried about the small size of the dance floor. Turns out, it was the perfect size! We had about 130 people at the wedding, and the small dance floor meant everyone was in close proximity, which made our reception pictures look fantastic! (SGI photography). Since Brookwood is open to the public, we were able to visit multiple times before the wedding and get ideas on decor and seating. The cherry on top was that every dollar spent went to the welfare of special needs adults!

We could not have asked for a better experience at Lost Mission! From the moment we booked, Adisson was incredibly helpful and responsive, making the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. She always communicated clearly and ensured that every question was answered quickly, and we always felt confident that everything was on track. On the wedding day, the attention to detail was truly outstanding. Every element was executed flawlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment without worrying about logistics. The team made everything feel effortless, and we are so grateful for their professionalism and care. Our guests were so complimentary of the beautiful space from the chapel, to the running stream through the property, to the food & drinks at the reception. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our big day at Lost Mission!

Marty Leonard was the first venue we booked for our wedding and we could not have picked a better place to be married. Charles was so friendly and the whole process was seamless. The chapel is obviously gorgeous, but what ultimately led us to book was how kind the staff was. Marty Leonard will always be such a special place to me.

The Vale as a venue and as a team were OUTSTANDING! My daughters wedding was on this past Sunday (6.22.25) and we have been working with The Vale since last summer when we booked. The entire team has been outstanding in every way and of course as a venue, the property is gorgeous! Everything went perfect! A big thank you to all involved!

As soon as my husband and I walked into University Chapel, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. The Chapel reminded us of churches we grew up in and immediately provided me a sense of calm and peace. We especially loved the floor to ceiling arches and windows which let in so much natural light and greenery and helped us to have that element of nature even though we were indoors. We received many compliments from guests who enjoyed watching the sunset during our ceremony. We also liked how centrally located the Chapel was for our guests who were traveling from all over Houston and beyond and that the rental fee was very reasonable. The Chapel representative, Keiry, was very professional in all of her communication with us and helped us to quickly problem solve any questions or concerns we had. We were also able to visit the Chapel in person as many times as we needed ahead of time to plan for decorations, photos, etc. and I was able to easily do bridal portraits for no extra fee. My only recommendation is that if you’re considering having your ceremony here, double check any big university events ahead of time if possible, as we accidentally scheduled our wedding the same day as Homecoming, which created some extra traffic and delays, but the Chapel staff was very accommodating. Thank you to Keiry and her student workers for helping create a very special day for us!

Everything was great. We got married on new years day so they had christmas decorations up, and they wouldnt allow us to take them down. That was ok, it sort of helped with the mood. We had to have our songs approved before we were allowed to use them, that was not fun, but overall it worked out.
