Words alone cannot express how grateful and blessed we are to have had Ruben officiate our wedding! We briefly met with Ruben prior to our big day, where he sat with us, got to know us, and walked us step by step on the details of our ceremony. This was crucial for learning our personalities and the type of ceremony we were envisioning. On the day of our wedding, emotions were running high, but Ruben helped put our emotions at ease with his humor. Ruben definitely exceeded our expectations! Thank you again Ruben! We highly recommend him. You won’t be disappointed!

First United Methodist Lubbock was a GREAT location. I feel they worked hard to make our day memorable. Marilyn, Charles, Gilbert and other staff members were very professional. I really look for that eith prople I work with, and was never disappointed by them. They provided beautiful pieces to make the Altar elegant, yet simple. I used them for both the ceremony and reception. I felt like I had some oddball requests. They included: -Using 2 officiants we brought in -Asking them to brew teas that I brought in for specific tastes -Altered decorating/take down times -Asking for a simple and respectful way to include one of our best men who had passed away prior to our wedding -Web broadcasting the wedding to family in England They not only accomadated these requests, they came up with solutions! They were so helpful! There were aspects of the ceremony and decorating they would not budge on; however it was to preserve the Christian wedding style, and also the beauty of the church for decorating. They provided so much help! That really was more budget friendly in the long-run for good service!

My husband and I did a vow renewal for our 17th anniversary. I am Baptist and he is Catholic and we wanted to find a place that would help us celebrate our marriage with both faiths respected and honored. Ruth the office administrator was so helpful in walking us through the process and Father Robert Ortega was very helpful in spiritually bringing us together for this special moment in our lives. If you are in a mixed Christian faith relationship, previously divorced or other relationship that may not fit the exact requirements to be blessed in your church, but still want your holy matrimony in a church setting, I highly recommend reaching out to Father Ortega and the Holy Spirit of Hope Independent Catholic Church for assistance and guidance. We certainly are glad we did and felt blessed by the experience!
