Wonderful experience. Our guest loved the venue, food, music, and photography. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a one-stop shop. George's team helps to take the thinking and stress out of the day by packing the details, giving you more bang for your buck. We were pleased with our experience.

The Mermaid doesn’t look the grandest from the outside, but it has an event center with two ballrooms. We chose the Coral Bay Ballroom since it had been recently remodeled, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Perfect spot for a wedding reception that didn’t break the bank! They did have a food/beverage minimum that we were required to meet with their catering company, but we didn’t have an issue with that. Natallia worked with us, and despite some email delivery issues, and having a LOT on her plate due to COVID, she made sure everything worked out well for us. For instance, the menu prices had been raised from the time we booked to the next spring when we were choosing the buffet, and she gave us the old prices without a problem. She created a room layout plan for us so all the tables, easels for signs, card/gift tables, etc were right where we wanted them. The room also came with linens, silverware and napkins which was helpful, and we were able to order some appetizers for cocktail hour. They had a bar available, which we didn’t use, but I know there were plenty of options. The food was delicious and I know the guests enjoyed it!

The food was out of this world! The chef did an outstanding job! I received exceptional comments on the portions, taste, and overall quality from at least 3/4 of my guests - we had a 260 person guest list that evening. The venue was large enough for us to have 8-person tables, so everyone was comfortable, the decor was beautiful, and the facility was equiped with everything we needed including several bars, numerous restrooms, a wonderful house sound system, and plenty of servers/personnel to keep things running. On top of all that, the price was very reasonable as well :-) WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE!

We rented the Shoreview Community Center (Shoreview Room - Summer Package) for our wedding reception. The venue (Shoreview Room) and summer package (Pavilion, Deck, & Fountain) were amazing and a perfect fit for all of our event needs. Kirby was excellent to work with - She was extremely communicative/responsive, clear, and consistent with all of the rental amenities and venue expectations. Additionally, Kirby and the community center staff were extremely supportive in providing all information and assistance needed both prior to and during the day of the event. We would without hesitation utilize and recommend the Shoreview Community Center for hosting future events.

Jennifer at Jimmy’s Event Center was wonderful to work with. The food was amazing. The space was amazing. We loved everything about our day. She answered all our questions and was so helpful.

My husband and I got married September of 2022, and we had a great experience. The venue itself is so gorgeous and already ornate which is great because we spent much less money on decorations although we had 135 guests. Guarantee that you will not find this quality of a venue with this cost. The staff were super nice and answered all my questions. My only criticism is that the dressing room for the women is very dark and small. We ended up getting ready at the hotel, so it wasn’t a huge issue. Seriously check this place out!

We still gush over how lovely the boat club was for our wedding. The backdrop to our wedding ceremony was beautiful and the space for the party was just the right size and amount of unique charm. Our guests loved it and we got some many compliments. The service was also spectacular from start to finish. Katie was always very responsive and eager to answer any questions. The day of service was just as great too. The catering was delicous and we really enjoyed being able to go to a tasting beforehand to pick just what we wanted.

We had a wonderful experience at this venue! It was so beautiful & big! We had the option to do an outdoor or indoor ceremony and ended up going with an indoor ceremony, which was perfect! Shannon and Lorah were amazing to work with- 10/10 recommend! We are so happy with our decision!

We hosted our wedding and reception at CHS in March and it was absolutely fantastic. Sarah, the event coordinator, was an angel from day one. She was genuinely excited and enthusiastic. Over the year and a half (ish) of planning and communicating with her she was quickly responsive to every question and need that arose. She was professional, prompt and thorough and she helped our process so much. Every thing that she could help accommodate, she did, from going over budget and dietary options for catering and bar, random questions about layout and decorations, parking options, working with our other vendors - everything was so smooth and easy. Catering and bar are done by the venue so that was simple but they had some great and reasonable options. She went above and beyond to help us find our officiant (a Saints Ushertainer!) and figure out permitting for the tattoo artist we wanted to have. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and we were able to use the patio, went on the concourse and to the dugout for photos, and took the option to rent the video board which was so cool. We absolutely loved how everything turned out and had the best day. All of the staff was professional, fun, courteous, and all our guests even remarked on how great everyone was.
