Marsha Lappin was so easy to work with. I could tell she cared about making our day the best from the first minute I talked to her. Fay Sullivan was also so supportive. I would highly recommend her team to anyone looking for a venue. They literally think of everything and they work so hard to make your day everything you want! Bonus they have things you can borrow (several size vases and mirrors) on the day!

My daughter was married on June 26, 2021 and we held the reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in Urbandale, Iowa. I HIGHLY recommend the Hilton Garden Inn as a wedding reception venue! We worked primarily with Miki, Kathy, Kelli and James. Throughout the entire process, the staff was professional, easy to work with and very accommodating. Their customer service level is top notch!

We recently had our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception at this location! I have to say they were amazing. The staff were wonderful throughout the entire weekend. They were kind and courteous and always ready to help with whatever I needed. The event coordinator (Angela) was exceptional at keeping everything on track. She worked wonderfully with all of my vendors! Would highly recommend them as a wedding venue. If there were more then 5 stars…they would get it!

The whole experience was amazing. Brooke made both rooms we rented look so beautiful. The food was great, service was so professional. I could not have ask for a better wedding. Everyone who attended the wedding were so impressed. I would 100% recommend the Sheraton and Brooke for their special occasions. It was perfect.

I would like you to know that Leann (the Event Coordinator) did a PHENOMENAL job. She answered so many phone calls and emails from me and my parents. She never made us feel like a burden, but took care of every request and always got back to us in a timely manner. Alex and I had so many compliments on our day, and we wouldn't have changed a thing! The weekend was absolutely perfect. I want Leann to know how grateful we are that she was our coordinator! She was very good with catching details and asking me any questions to clarify our vision for the weekend. We will 1000% be recommending this to others. The ladies at the front desk and bar were also wonderful. They were super nice, friendly, and professional. I can't say THANK YOU enough! Even housekeeping went above and beyond for us, being super friendly in the halls and taking care of our suite. Stoney Creek has always been one of our favorite places to stay, and now has a special in our hearts. We appreciate all you did for us! THANK YOU, LEANN and team!!

We went to tour the venue at the end of February and got married in front of the small waterfall they have outside late July. We told them upfront that we would be moving a couple days after touring there. They worked with us on price and late zoom meetings or phone calls. They responded well to texts and emails the day of the wedding. The price includes the meal, hors d'oeuvres, late snacks, the chairs and decorations, the venue itself, and for 3 rooms for 4 days.

Everyone raved about the food. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The service was attentive. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but the lobby was impressive 4-star quality.

The entire process with the Marriott was really smooth and easy! Rebecca, the event coordinator, was so friendly and easy to work with - not to mention patient as she answered thousands of my questions! It was an amazing experience and I can't thank her and the entire Marriott staff enough for the amazing job they did!

Alex and the Hilton were great to work with! Alex was very knowledgeable, very responsive, and was present on the day of the wedding to ensure everything went as planned.Every single Hilton employee that we interacted with was so kind and helpful, seriously EVERY SINGLE ONE. The late night clean up crew included! The cocktail hour area was spacious, bar set up was great, hors d’oeuvres were very good. The banquet room is modern, spacious, and was perfect for our event. The bar set up in the ballroom looked classy. Dance floor was perfect sized. The backdrop for behind the head table looked fantastic- they hung some neon signs for us on it and it was perfect! Service during dinner was timely, food was very good. HIGHLY recommend the Hilton and their staff to host your event (ours was a wedding)!

We started planning my daughter's wedding during Covid. There was uncertainty as to what a wedding would look like if we could even have it. Staffing was not completely back and everything was unknown. My daughter and son-in-law were living in North Carolina and my son-in-law ended up being deployed and returning only a couple of weeks before the wedding. The Staff at the Embassy Suites Downtown Des Moines didn't blink an eye. They were very accommodating to our needs. The bride and groom couldn't make it to a tasting, so they allowed us to schedule one on their time. Claudia and her staff walked us through changes as our guest list went from between 100-150 to 250 guests. I truly cannot say enough good things about this venue, staff and hotel. The food was amazing. We never noticed the waitstaff unless we needed something. Marcy and her staff flipped the ballroom from ceremony to reception in less time than they had originally quoted us, which allowed us to move quickly to the fun stuff. I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect than what they created! The staff made this venue shine!
