About this venue
At the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dakota Dunes – Event Center (located in the Sioux City area), we know wedding planning usually begins long before an engagement. We want to make every vision you’ve had for your wedding a reality, and we will do everything we can to make your experience enjoyable. It’s our goal to make sure your first step into the next chapter of your life is memorable in the best way and reflects your unique vision. We cater to weddings large and small, with enough event space to host up to 450 guests and the ability to partition the room into a more intimate space for smaller gatherings.
Our stunning event space features a modern look with neutral colors, which creates the perfect backdrop for any style of décor, from lavish to minimal. Although our event space is amazing (really, we could talk about it all day), what steals the show is our caring staff. We love what we do. There is nothing more rewarding than the glow of a newly married couple and the loving friends and family surrounding them. We strive to create a warm, attentive environment, and our team works very hard to make sure that no detail is left unnoticed. We are eager to assist in any way, from start to finish; no request is too small!

Amazing venue
The event center setup was beautiful and exactly what we envisioned. Danielle even went above and beyond by offering to host our outdoor ceremony indoors in case of rain, which gave us such peace of mind. Thankfully, the weather held out, but her thoughtfulness didn’t go unnoticed.
All of our guests loved their stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were comfortable, and having the reception and accommodations in one location was so convenient for everyone. The team’s hard work and attention to detail truly made our day perfect.
If you’re considering hosting an event here, I highly recommend it. Danielle and her team will take excellent care of you!
The venue was absolutely gorgeous! Throughout the process of wedding planning, the staff was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. It made the whole process stress-free. I would very much so recommend using the Holiday Inn in Dakota Dunes for any type of event!
