We hosted our wedding reception at the Holiday Inn Express & Dakota Dunes Event Center, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience! Danielle and her team were absolutely amazing. Even when the original planner left during our planning phases, Danielle stepped in seamlessly and made everything stress-free. She was incredibly attentive, organized, and thoughtful throughout the entire process.
The event center setup was beautiful and exactly what we envisioned. Danielle even went above and beyond by offering to host our outdoor ceremony indoors in case of rain, which gave us such peace of mind. Thankfully, the weather held out, but her thoughtfulness didn’t go unnoticed.
All of our guests loved their stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were comfortable, and having the reception and accommodations in one location was so convenient for everyone. The team’s hard work and attention to detail truly made our day perfect.
If you’re considering hosting an event here, I highly recommend it. Danielle and her team will take excellent care of you! -

Megan Sent on 05/19/2026The venue was absolutely gorgeous! Throughout the process of wedding planning, the staff was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. It made the whole process stress-free. I would very much so recommend using the Holiday Inn in Dakota Dunes for any type of event!
The staff was very responsive to our budget needs and did a wonderful job with meeting them. Their professionalism was exceptionally amazing. -

My husband and I were married in May of 2024. We did both the ceremony and reception at the hotel, as well as using the meeting space for a getting ready room for the bridal party. We absolutely loved the venue! Most of our guests were from out of town, and the ease of having our guests be able to stay in one place was wonderful. Furthermore, the prefunction space and outdoor space were perfect for offering a space for outdoor games and visiting, as well as a space for our older guests who sought space away from the dance floor music. We used a day of coordinator, who worked well with the hotel staff which was helpful for carrying out the logistics of the day. We loved the venue and would recommend it! -

Very organized to work with, clean kitchen and helpful staff! The staff went above and beyond helping me get ready to cater my event. -

I chose this place because I knew how great it would be. I used to work weddings there previously. They were very attentive, staff was very friendly, set up was beautiful and they definitely made our day even more special. I would recommend them to anyone who asks, because you will not be disappointed! -

We can not say enough good things about the Holiday Inn as our wedding venue. We chose this venue because their layout is perfect for a big wedding without it being crowded! Our experience with Alex helped ease so many fears and questions leading up to the wedding day-I probably sent her at least an email a day for two weeks & each time, she answered so fast and it was things she already had under control! I cannot praise the staff enough with how well organized they were throughout the day (especially during dinner), and how welcoming, nice, and attentive to our guests they were! The staff took care of every little detail the whole day. From ensuring people came in the right doors, to taking our gifts and cards to a secure room throughout the evening. This venue really makes you a priority from leading up to the wedding all the way until the next morning. -

Sam and Alex made our wedding perfect, easy, and seamless! I highly recommend them. They respond quickly to questions and coordinate well with other vendors. We basically didn't have to lift a finger. They didn't miss a single detail! In the morning, they had everything locked up on a cart in the office for us to just roll out to the car and easily load up.Holiday Inn Express & Dakota Dunes Event Center's reply:

Prefect Location!
We recently had our wedding reception here and it was simply amazing! Everything was handled so perfectly by the staff from the beginning to the end. Sam and Lauren did an incredible job, gave us great suggestions, and made us feel comfortable every step of the way! MVP of wedding planning
I’ll be the first to admit I was the most unorganized bride ever. Having to plan a wedding almost 900 miles away was a challenge to say the least. Thank god for Sam and her attention to detail and organizational skills! She was also so prompt in answering any questions we had and helped smooth out and streamline our timeline for the day. I don’t think anyone else has the skill to corral our scattered wedding party the way she did either. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and clean and same goes for the entire hotel. We were also blown away by how attentive and kind the staff was. We highly recommend this place to any newly engaged couples in the area! -

We had our wedding here in October of 2020. Everyone was very helpful and very professional. With some restrictions we still managed to make everything work. The place was super clean and was very beautiful. We loved it and so did our guest. Would recommend them to everyone! -

Wedding Reception
Lauren, Tammi and their team were amazing to work with as we planned our wedding! We visited a number of places, but after seeing the venue and meeting with Lauren, our decision was easy to make! The venue is gorgeous, elegant and spacious! The team was always available, easy to work with and accommodating! For us, the pricing was comparable plus we never felt like they were nickel and diming us on items. Being attached to a hotel was very important to us, as we had many guests traveling in, the service our guests received was top notch! We have heard nothing but great things from our guests regarding their stay! I will highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Dakota Dunes Event Center, Lauren and her team to anyone looking for a venue! -

June 1st, 2019 is a day that we will never forget! We held our wedding reception at the Holliday Inn Express & Suites in the Dakota Dunes and we could not have asked for a more perfect venue. The space is beautiful, immaculate, and easily adaptable to any theme! The staff was WONDERFUL - so courteous, helpful, and accommodating during every step of the planning, setting up, during the event, and even days to weeks afterwards. We worked very closely with Lauren - she is an angel!
We would 12/10 recommend the Holiday Inn, Dakota Dunes - Event Center for your special day!! -

HIE Dakota Dunes Event Center Wedding Review!!
My husband and I got married at the HIE Dakota Dunes Event Center. We had the PERFECT day and PERFECT experience!!! Staff were amazing. Alex did phenomenal with everything and made sure everything ran smoothly. She went above and beyond to make our day so special. We cannot recommend this venue enough!! -

Beautiful venue. Staff is very willing to make accommodations when needed. Food pricing is pretty outrageous, but other than that, a very good venue.
