Services Offered

ZZQ offers two straightforward catering options - full-service on-site catering and delivery with a buffet-style setup. For weddings, we always encourage full service. Their full-service offering is for 50 or more people and is priced to match each client's setting and needs. All full-service catering packages include setup, service, and cleanup for a barbecue buffet. Tell them where to be, what to feed your guests, and when to be there - they'll handle the rest. It is their mission to bring the same love, energy, and hospitality that is experienced at their restaurant on the road to help celebrate your special day. They always deliver. Going above and beyond is simply what they do best.

Don’t think, just book them!

Jason and his whole catering team are absolutely incredible! Maggie and crew made the whole buffet feel like we were with family and the food was beyond delicious! We are still getting rave reviews from all of our guests and vendors on the food and I would choose ZZQ again without even thinking about it. Don’t hesitate. If you want barbecue for the wedding, they should be your choice.

Best Wedding Food Ever!

I don't know what to say other than ZZQ was flat out the best choice for food to have at our wedding. They were super nice, professional, and fun to work with and the food was amazing on our wedding day! People still talk about the appetizer and dinner spread we had through today. If I could have ZZQ cater every event in my life-- I would.

Best BBQ in Richmond!!

My husband and I knew we wanted ZZQ to cater our wedding long before we got engaged, and we were not disappointed!! We planned our wedding ourselves and, therefore, had a lot of questions regarding what services they would be able to help with. Jason was extremely communicative and helpful with all our questions, and the food and service day of were impeccable!! I also loved that they were able to accommodate my vegan Maid of Honor and vegetarian guests, while still offering the best BBQ in Richmond. We (of course) didn’t get to try anything at cocktail hour, but have gotten so many compliments from our guests about the offerings. Dinner of course didn’t disappoint either!! Best of all, the cost was not exponential either, in my opinion, considering the services that were rendered. If you’re thinking about hiring ZZQ, just go ahead and do it. You won’t be disappointed. But if you’re really hesitant, check out their restaurant and chat with Jason. You’ll be well fed and all your worries will be eased!

Best wedding catering decision around!

ZZQ has always had a special place in mine and my husband’s hearts. We moved to Houston 4 years ago, but still miss and crave their amazing barbecue often. We knew when we made the decision to get married at my mom’s house in VA that we had to have ZZQ to cater our special day! From start to finish they were so professional, helpful, and made our food situation easy and stress free. The quality was just as wonderful as always, even to serve 70+ people. ZZQ truly is the best barbecue around, served by amazing people. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for amazing catering for any kind of special event. Thanks ZZQ!

My wife & I recently had our wedding catered by ZZQ, and we could not have had a better experience. The food was phenomenal (we regularly heard that it was ‘easily the best wedding food’ people had ever had), they were efficient in getting meals to guests, and the staff were great to work with - going out of their way to help make our day better. Amazing food, even better service!

Jason and his team were absolutely amazing for our wedding. Super professional and communicative. We got married at my family’s farm with absolutely no infrastructure other than a tent and a generator. ZZQ took care of everything and even accommodated some specific dessert requests we had. And of course all of our guests absolutely raved about the food. Can’t recommend them highly enough!!

They make the best TX-style barbecue in the region, and they're great people too. ZZQ was extremely responsive and professional. Everything went smoothly and the food was excellent — we had Texan guests who raved about it. They do not have an ABC license so you need another vendor for alcohol. (This will probably change soon because they're opening a full restaurant in 2017.)

Great Catering Experience for my Mid-size Wedding

I already had a great love for ZZQ and since many of my family members moved out of state were visiting for the wedding, they were all clamoring for it. It was an easy decision to pick them as the food has always been great in restaurants.
They were able to handle communication between my mother and I, and my mother isn’t the easiest person. She has a million questions and opinions and almost got the caterer confused about who was providing plates and utensils. We got an initial quote, and when we expressed it was a little outside our budget, they worked with us to tailor the cratering experience to be within budget. The choices were perfect for my backwoods/lakeside wedding, food was amazing, and everyone was so friendly. The venue had a kitchen, but other than putting some basic supplies in there, they were all ready to serve and go in less than 30 minutes.
A very good experience overall! Always loved ZZQ, and always will after that.
