Zen Orchid Photography is a professional wedding photography business based in Chicago, Illinois. Joseff Stevenson, the owner and lead photographer, has been in the photography industry for more than 10 years and his history as a highly skilled street and portrait photographer lend to unique and wonderful perspectives in weddings.

Wonderful photos, great to work with

Joseff (and his second shooter Claire) were both great! Joseff has super chill, laid back, and fun vibes, so is a great addition to an event like a wedding, (in addition to being a great photographer).

We really enjoyed the time we spent with him during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day - he helped us get around in his car and even risked his life (kind of) in order to get some cool shots on a bridge.

We had a super long list of portraits we wanted to take with family and friends and Joseff and Claire did a great job working with us to get them -- this was super important to us, and they came out great.

We ended up asking them to stay for an extra hour in order to capture some dancing shots and they CAME THROUGH. The shots look amazing and make it look like our wedding was really fun (which it was).

Best Action Shots I've Seen!

I have owned a fitness business for 11 years, so we've had a plethora of photographers come through and take pictures of my studio and team. Joseff was great! He was very easy to work with, came packing ideas and also gave me and my team a lot of space to express who we really are. It was a very fun couple of hours. Beyond that, we were elated with the photos themselves. My experience with fitness photos tend to be pretty negative...especially when looking at myself in them. I was amazed at how badass I looked in a few of these! The photos he took even had us going in a bit of a different direction on our website - we decided to go with the candid ones which was not our original idea - but they were SO GOOD! I highly recommend Joseff, especially if there is a lot of action to capture. I think he is particularly good in that sphere.

Comfortable and professional service

Joseff is incredibly accommodating. I felt very at home in his studio, and his manner put me at ease to be myself. I think that’s truly reflected in the quality of the photos.

Patient, friendly, easy to work with

Joseff was very friendly, patient, and tried his best to listen to what we wanted out of the shoot. He used various methods to make us get comfortable for each shot and explained the context and concept each time so we can adjust ourselves accordingly. He was great to work with and I'd definitely recommend him to anyone!

Friendly and comfortable

My experience with Joseff was a couple's photo session, not a wedding, but he is excellent. He knows how to play, making the experience fun, loosening us up, and creating opportunities for amazing shots that would not have happened in a more posed scenario, while also knowing when to alter a shot to create the best effect and give advice in an unobtrusive way.
