We were really happy with our choice of Sam and Ze Liang Photography as our wedding photographer. We were looking for someone whose photos we liked, but also someone who would be comfortable and easy to work with. As a gay and interracial couple, it was really nice to find someone who clearly loves his work and someone who is passionate about photographing couples like us. Sam listened well to what we were looking for and responded to our desire to not leave during our wedding for photos. We had a wonderful engagement session 2 months before which got us to know his style and to feel comfortable in front of the camera. On the day of the wedding we did our family photos before the ceremony so that we could mingle and be present during our day. Sam captured the energy of the ceremony and the party and was very low key and non-intrusive. But he was able to capture many great shots. Sam sent us digital copies of our photos and access to his website very quickly (about 2 weeks or so I think) and his pricing is reasonable. We would highly recommend using Ze Liang Photography! My only advice is that if you'd like some fun, interesting or more creative shots it may be worth suggesting it or recommending it directly. Thanks Sam, we were very happy to have worked with you.

I cannot say enough about our choice in a wedding photographer. From our first e-mail interaction, Sam was professional and personable. His energy was palpable even through e-mail and he created a package that worked well for our needs that included engagement photos and our wedding session.

We first met Sam at the engagement session and he encouraged us to bring our dog along. He instantly made us feel comfortable and he gave us great instruction. We were thrilled with the results and had one of the engagement pictures prominently displayed by the cake at the wedding.

He was wonderful at the wedding. It was a cold day, but he was happy to have us take advantage of the light and surroundings outside. He also offered several suggestions for people to include in the photos. He was virtually invisible during the wedding ceremony and captured some amazing photos. We can't begin to express how thrilled we are with our photos. We were also able to build in some time for other couple and families to have their photos taken by him and they were equally wonderful. He also had some time to take some shots of our rings which were extremely artistic and beautiful as well as some shots of the cake and food which were equally beautiful.

Having a photographer who was comfortable with a same sex wedding was very important to us and Sam was truly wonderful. I highly recommend Sam. Between Sam, our caterer, and the venue, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding.

My husband and I recently got married at the Liberty Hotel in downtown Boston. It was a gay, Indo-American wedding, and we wanted to use vendors that’d make us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. It seems that Sam's specialty is non-traditional weddings, and he did an awesome job! We met with him a couple of times before the wedding to go over ideas for poses and pictures and to finalize a timeline. He's professional and polite, but fun and friendly, too. By the end, we felt more like friends than his clients 

On the day of the wedding, he made sure to get all of the poses on the list and was flexible enough to go with the flow when things just didn't work out like we planned (and let’s be honest, things rarely go according to plan). Many, many of our guests mentioned to us afterwards how impressed they were with Sam's work...and that was even before we saw the pictures.

We got access to our online gallery about 3 weeks after the wedding, and the pictures are phenomenal, just drop dead gorgeous! He got all of the important shots, but even got close up pictures of all of the decorations, too. His attention to detail is really to be commended.

Sam put my partner and I at complete ease. He was the perfect photographer for our boutique wedding. He was professional, prompt in all communication, scoped out the right settings near our church for photos, captured our guests in just the right way. He turned the photos around quickly too! Luckily, I found Sam online, as we were looking to document the occasion. Sam was absolutely fantastic. He is so talented for such a young photographer and provided us with the most beautiful pictures of our wedding. We gave him a tough task---a fully day of pictures 10am-10pm, a 16 person bridal party, and the sunniest/brightest day of the year and he handled it all professionally and with a smile. We are so happy with the finished product and every time we look back at the pictures we feel the emotions we felt on the day again. Sam is also an amazing person. We are so happy with the decision to use Ze Liang Photography. Sam is very great to work with. He is very responsive and super sweet. When we booked him a year ago, we decided to do an engagement session with him to get to know one another. Our engagement pictures came out great. Sam was also a pleasure to work with through the planning process. He stayed in touch and made sure we were on top of everything. He was prompt the day of our wedding and had an assistant, Brad, with him. When we finally got our gallery of pictures, we were thrilled with how beautiful they came out. The images really captured the emotion of the day from the ceremony to the dancing at the reception. I also love all of the shots of the little details as we had put a lot of hard work into them which Sam knew. I would recommend Sam to anyone who is looking for beautiful pictures with a natural feel!!!!

There are really two ways to evaluate a photographer: how he interacts with you when he's setting up shots, and the actual quality of the final photos. Sam absolutely nailed both of these for us. He made us feel completely comfortable and relaxed as he was taking shots, making the process of setting up shots fun and natural. We had a great time and 2 hours of photographer seemed to fly by. But would the photos themselves turn out as nice as we hoped? The photos were spectacular--Sam absolutely presented us at our best. Great composition and use of light, and creatively captured the thrill and romance of our special day. We will use him again.
