The day before the wedding Travis called to check in on us. My wife and I were a bit frazzled as our planned outdoor wedding was expected to be rained upon so we were scrambling to make some last minute preparations. I met Travis the next day at our venue, he was right on time and looked very professional. He did all the setup himself, including a wireless mic for the ceremony, and had everything ready to go even before the wedding started. And what can I say except that he was one of the main reasons why our wedding was such a success. What really sets Travis apart is that he doesn't just play the set music lists, he does all the announcements as well, and really helps to keep up with the timing of all the events. He also took some music reqests but made sure to ask us if those songs were okay to play. My wife's cousin also wanted to sing a song for us and Travis was quickly able to fulfill that request.
I really can't say enough good things about Travis and his service. I would recommend him over any DJ for any event I've been to. I can't thank him enough for being an integral part of our awesome day! 10 out of 10!!!
We interviewed and compared multiple DJs for our event as we really wanted to choose someone who was outgoing, fun, enthusiastic, and organized. When we first met Shawn he went over details of our wedding and he gave us some paper work that listed out things detailing our day and song selections.. things that I would not have even thought about but felt good he was thinking ahead and brought these items to my attention.
As the wedding grew near I had needed help putting together an event timeline and Shawn went out of his way to meet with us and offer suggestions and comments based on his experience. He helped make our wedding fun and offered ideas for a fun/entertaining grand entrance, how to dismiss buffet tables, etc.
Our wedding was 250+ guests and we were really impressed how smooth Shawn was able to manage everyone on his own so smoothly as he kept everything on track with timing, did a great job MCing (fun and enthusiastic), playing the exact music we wanted (including special music for grand entrances, first dance, money dance..). As the wedding came near I kept changing a few things that I kept sending over to Shawn including timeline and music changes so I was very impressed on how organized he was to keep all that together and have our day go exactly as we had expected. Travis is FANTASTIC. He is hugely engaging, gregarious, remembers everyone's names, is thoroughly entertaining and an incredible showman, and provides all of the guests a wonderful time. I've worked with him a number of times and he is the consummate professional. Highly recommended and EIGHT THUMBS UP!
