My wife and I are from California and we planned a destination wedding in Washington state in October of 2016. We came upon Travis's info through wedding wire. Travis and I first spoke over the phone, and then later with my wife, and we hit it off immediately. Travis informed us that he has done hundreds of events, including multiples weddings at our venue (The Edgewater House), and that made us feel very comfortable. After understanding our music preference, he gave us multiple lists to help us select specific songs for our ceremony and reception. After that, we communicated mainly over email but he was always very responsive, usually replying that same day.
The day before the wedding Travis called to check in on us. My wife and I were a bit frazzled as our planned outdoor wedding was expected to be rained upon so we were scrambling to make some last minute preparations. I met Travis the next day at our venue, he was right on time and looked very professional. He did all the setup himself, including a wireless mic for the ceremony, and had everything ready to go even before the wedding started. And what can I say except that he was one of the main reasons why our wedding was such a success. What really sets Travis apart is that he doesn't just play the set music lists, he does all the announcements as well, and really helps to keep up with the timing of all the events. He also took some music reqests but made sure to ask us if those songs were okay to play. My wife's cousin also wanted to sing a song for us and Travis was quickly able to fulfill that request.
I really can't say enough good things about Travis and his service. I would recommend him over any DJ for any event I've been to. I can't thank him enough for being an integral part of our awesome day! 10 out of 10!!!

Travis is hands down the best! I was pretty nervous about how the whole day was going to go (as this was a home wedding with minimal staff), and from the moment Travis picked up the mic I didn't have to worry about a thing! He maintained the flow of the whole evening. I knew right away he had everything handled and we were able to relax and enjoy our night. He was professional and yet managed to keep everything light and entertaining the whole night. We received SO many compliments from family and friends, we feel so fortunate that Travis was there to make sure the reception was perfect. None of us had to think about the timeline once, he had everything handled the whole way. He met with us weeks before hand to make sure he knew what we were going for, and he nailed it. He managed to stick to what we wanted while at the same time adjusting things based on reading the crowd. Best party I've ever been to. Out of the whole wedding preparation experience, picking Your Sound Entertainment was the best decision I made! Communication was a huge issue with other vendors. Not with this company. I had open communication and was always responded to with in a day. Travis came to my home to go over everything that I filled out online. He was very attentive and helped me through the process of all the minor details. He was very thorough and very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with the DJ/MC leading up until my wedding. The day of my wedding couldn't have gone better. The DJ stuck to every song and playlist that I had previously chose. They also played great music in times where I hadn't selected any. Travis was super funny, candid and not corny at all!! This company was seriously a huge part of why every thing went so well. Travis communicated with my MOH so well and paid attention to every detail! I will recommend this to all my friends and family!

Travis was a replacement DJ for our original, and BOY did he nail it. He was FANTASTIC. He was hugely engaging, gregarious, remembered everyone's names, was thoroughly entertaining and an incredible showman, providing all of our 300 guests a wonderful time. I booked Your Sound for my sisters wedding after searching for just the right fit for what I was looking for. Travis, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and that the happy couple could have all that they wanted when it came to the music. I undoubtedly can also admit that because of Travis, my sister's wedding went off without a hitch. He had great crowd control, did amazing directing the reception and had a very casual and laid back, yet directive attitude about the entire event. We interviewed and compared multiple DJs for our event as we really wanted to choose someone who was outgoing, fun, enthusiastic, and organized. When we first met Shawn he went over details of our wedding and he gave us some paper work that listed out things detailing our day and song selections.. things that I would not have even thought about but felt good he was thinking ahead and brought these items to my attention.

As the wedding grew near I had needed help putting together an event timeline and Shawn went out of his way to meet with us and offer suggestions and comments based on his experience. He helped make our wedding fun and offered ideas for a fun/entertaining grand entrance, how to dismiss buffet tables, etc.

Our wedding was 250+ guests and we were really impressed how smooth Shawn was able to manage everyone on his own so smoothly as he kept everything on track with timing, did a great job MCing (fun and enthusiastic), playing the exact music we wanted (including special music for grand entrances, first dance, money dance..). As the wedding came near I kept changing a few things that I kept sending over to Shawn including timeline and music changes so I was very impressed on how organized he was to keep all that together and have our day go exactly as we had expected. Your Sound Entertainment was awesome for our wedding! When we first budgeted our wedding, we had no idea how expensive good DJs could be! When we first met with Shawn, I was a bit skeptical because of how great the price was, but he was very professional and patient with us. On the wedding day, Shawn was on time and had everything set up like we had planned. The music selection was fabulous for cocktail hour/dinner, and got even better as the night went on (we love to dance!), but everything was kept appropriate for the ages that were present. Everyone at our wedding had a blast and I would not hesitate to hire Shawn and Your Sound Entertainment! If you love to dance and are operating on a tighter budget, they are definitely for you!

Thank god for Your Sound Entertainment! I was almost in tears 2 months before our wedding when our original DJ unexpectedly cancelled on us. After processing what had happened, we contacted Your Sound Entertainment on a Sunday, thinking that they wouldn't get back to us until the next day, however, the owner called us back within 30 minutes and quickly assembled a team and put us into their schedule. I was SO impressed with their ability to handle a negative situation and turn it into a positive one for us. From that point on, the DJ that would be performing at our ceremony and reception answered calls and emails promptly, putting us at such ease. My husband and I live in Houston, Texas and got married in Seattle, so planning was a bit challenging, but when a company is as professional and experienced as this one, it wasn't even an issue. We weren't able to meet with our DJ until a week before the wedding, but our first meeting went so smoothly and we knew we could trust him to give us a great experience. On the day of the wedding, he was set up and ready to go, played exactly the songs we requested and kept the party going all night long! I had multiple people coming up to me throughout the night telling me that it was the best wedding they have ever been to and that they were having a blast! I would definitely recommend Your Sound Entertainment to anyone looking to have a great, easy DJ experience.
