Hi, my name is Matthew, and welcome to my business page.

I am an event DJ operating out of South Whidbey Island. I’m happy to travel but my primary focus is providing quality event sound and lighting experiences in my local community.

I am a special education teacher with an infant who DJs for fun. I have a couple of music degrees and decided to buy professional-grade gear to provide a quality event experience for Whidbey folks, but your local community could be just as special.

My favorite genres are funk; jazz; and salsa, but I have a strong handle on playing what an event calls for as well as facilitating an experience that is client-centered and dancefloor moment-to-moment dependent. I have been to many events where the music was not "danceable" and it drives me crazy. I focus on getting people dancing and finding music that each guest will want to dance to.

Bringing joy to people and facilitating amazing dancing experiences is what brings me joy and currently,

DJ’ing is providing that feeling for me.

For your event, I'm certain that I can give you a competitive quote if you are interested in my style. I won’t be the cheapest option, but I also won’t be the most expensive. Most importantly I care a lot about what YOU want and am willing to do what it takes to make that happen for you.
