Wirken Photography is a primarily documentary based studio specializing in visual storytelling. We are a collection of photographers as well as film makers who are passionate about telling the stories of people's lives visually. We come from photojournalism backgrounds and take that skill and experience and use it on a wedding day acting as a witness to real life unfolding in front of our cameras. We feel the wedding day is not about photos rather a celebration of two families coming together. With that approach we believe in not posing or controlling anything on the wedding day rather simply letting it happen and document it. This makes for a very laid back and enjoyable day for our clients. Not being bogged down with time consuming photography tasks allows the couple and their families to be 100% present on their day for themselves and their friends and family. We are based in Kansas City, Missouri but are available for travel worldwide and have documented weddings in Colorado, Belize, Mexico, Bermuda, Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Virginia, Connecticut, Florida, California, Illinois, and Kansas.
