Our Venue: Natur Villas Wind & Sea is a private wedding venue located along the beautiful coast of Big Sur, California. This six-acre property offers unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean from both their indoor and outdoor spaces. The property is naturally engulfed with pines, eucalyptus, vibrant succulents, and a variety of fruit trees throughout the hillside overlooking the scenic ocean. This naturally beautiful venue also includes features such as an organic vegetable garden, outdoor yoga area, Jack and Jill copper tubs, sauna, and Amphitheater with a fire ring. With all its amenities and scenery, Wind and Sea will be a one-of-a-kind destination where you can host your memorable day.

Wind and Sea is easily accessible from the popular beaches in Monterey and Carmel, California. The venue offers overnight accommodations in their 3,000-square-foot house alongside a detached studio suite for even more comfort for you and your loved ones. This gorgeous, modern home consists of three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a full gourmet kitchen perfect for you and your wedding party. Just a short drive to many popular restaurants, you and your guests can hit the town to explore some of the local eateries. This waterfront venue provides the perfect setting for intimate weddings of up to 100 guests. Their amphitheater with fire ring seating offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and creates a naturally beautiful setting for your guests to witness you say, "I do." Every deck, patio, and structure is artfully placed to offer the most beautiful views of the ocean and property.

Amazing Venue!
Ahead of the wedding, the venue's property manager helped us plan out how we can stage our wedding day based on what had worked in the past. This was helpful in giving us confidence our wedding plans would be successful. They allowed us flexibility with our staging, and with our rather late arrival time the day before. All of this helped alleviate stress, as we knew the venue itself was in good hands. It was a pleasure working with Wind and Sea.
For our wedding day, the venue was cleaned meticulously and put in tip top shape. The main house and landscaping was spotless. The venue itself is breathtaking - words can’t do it justice. Each of our guests had the same reaction of “wow” as they commented on the venue to us. They all enjoyed exploring the grounds throughout the day and took time to soak in the incredible views. This led to our guests having a great relaxed day, and put less pressure on us to check in with them.
We can’t recommend Wind and Sea enough! It is a magical place to get married, and we hope to rent the property again sometime in the future for a smaller group!
Magical, outdoor, intimate, unique wedding experience
I toured all the Big Sur venues and nothing compared. Even Ventana, which is gorgeous, but not nearly as unique and beautiful. It’s simply stunning. If feels like you’re stepping into another world. We loved it, and our guests said things like’ “my jaw dropped when I stepped off the shuttle” and “awe-inspiring venue” and “WOW!!!!”
Specific things I loved:
- The house itself is gorgeous - it feels like you’re in someone’s well-decorated expensive private home
- im a princess with linens. The sheets are great!!!
- they built a wall to ceiling for master bedroom - so now it’s private!! Was thrilled they did that
- Many different settings for each part - several ceremony site options, cocktail hour options, etc
- You can hear the ocean waves crashing and the sea lions barking. So many sweet nature smells and sounds
- Super private. Nearest neighbors are maybe 1/4 mile away
- Staff is awesome!! Super helpful and responsive. Also very chill and laid back personalities - they didn’t stress us out, as some vendors did. Particularly grateful for Chris (manager) who responded to questions within an hour, and Ken (property manager) who helped out a lot.
That said, it is logistically challenging, like the required shuttle, but with careful planning you’ll be fine.
Tips:
- Get more than enough shuttles. Depart every 30 minutes. Print shuttle schedules and display them everywhere. Have DJ announce times. Be very clear in your guest comms (“if you miss the shuttle, you’ll miss the ceremony, so please don’t be late”). Well worth every penny.
- You’ll need a shuttle lost and found. Tell guests the name of your shuttle company before, so they can handle themselves (we were inundated with texts the next morning…)
- I was worried we’d feel too crowded for a larger wedding (for Wind & Sea; smaller by industry standards). But it was totally fine!
- Warn guests about lack of cell service. It was actually a blessing - everyone was way more present.
- Early checkout (10am) was understandable, but very tough after a wedding, especially if people keep hanging out inside drinking after the caterers leave. Cleaning up and packing after a big day was a beast the next morning. Still worth it ;)
