About

Welcome to WilliamVZ Music, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based wedding music service! My name is William VanZytveld, and I have been playing piano/keyboard for weddings across the state of Michigan since 2021. My goal is to deliver on couples' musical envision for their wedding, whether that be learning a new song, playing a familiar song in a different genre, or taking advantage of keyboard sounds to imitate an ensemble (i.e., strings). I've frequently traveled for weddings outside my home base in Grand Rapids, which gives me an excuse for a road trip to see different parts of the country.

Outside of weddings, I've had experiences playing background music for brunches, formal evening dinners, and cocktail gatherings in downtown Grand Rapids.

When I'm not rehearsing for an upcoming wedding, I enjoy a second helping of coffee lovers' dream ice cream by the lake.

Professional and talented pianist

From the moment we booked WilliamVZ Music, we knew we were in great hands. William was so professional, easy to work with, and always quick to respond to our questions. He’s incredibly talented and went above and beyond to make our wedding day extra special.

When we realized—at the very last minute—that we had the wrong microphone extension, William saved the day by letting us use his own speaker so everything went smoothly.

The music he put together for our morning ceremony and lunch reception was perfect—so thoughtful and effortless—and it’s something we’ll always remember.

William is amazing, and we’re so thankful for everything he did to make our day unforgettable.

So happy we found William!

We could not have asked for a more perfect pianist for our daughter’s wedding day. The music was absolutely beautiful and created such an elegant, romantic atmosphere for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. Every song was performed flawlessly, and so many of our guests commented on how talented and professional William was. We appreciated that he played during rehearsal too.

So amazing!

William did such an amazing job! He was easy to get in touch with, very professional and so helpful with choosing songs and music. Our ceremony was done perfectly and I couldn’t have asked for better! He killed it!

William was amazing!!

William did an incredible job during my May 2025 wedding! He met with my fiancé and I multiple times leading up to our wedding weekend to make sure he had every detail covered. He arrived at the rehearsal early, fully prepared, and brought such a calm, organized energy to the whole process. William was very flexible, as well as easy and fun to work with. I was able to go to sleep the night before the wedding completely at ease, knowing the music was in great hands. On the wedding day itself, his performance was perfect and truly elevated the entire ceremony. From start to finish, William went above and beyond and I would definitely recommend him to all of my family and friends!

The ultimate professional

I met William at a West Michigan Bridal show. First off I recommend any bridal to attend at least 2 bridal show. I wasn't even looking for a live musician for my wedding but I heard William play at a Sweet house event. William prices are very reasonable. He is very kind and easy to work with. He can and has a huge range musical ability and experience. I recommend 👌 William as Keyboardist. He worked great with my wedding singer.

Best in town!

William was very easy to work with, accommodating, professional and quick to respond. We booked him for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Multiple guests commented on his awesome piano skills and he even played some requests made by guests. 10/10, highly recommend for your wedding and this is coming from someone who is very particular!

Super pianist

Hiring Will was one of the best decisions for our wedding. The guests loved the atmosphere and will did such a great job with the music and all of our specific song selections. Absolutely STUNNING and so pretty. We recommend Will if you’re looking to add elegance and elevate your wedding to a whole new level.

Couldn’t have asked for a better pianist!!!

Asked Will to play at our wedding despite planning in such a short time and he really came through! Genuinely fun, flexible and super talented. Made our special day so memorable and super thankful to know him. Highly recommend any day! Thanks Will!

Super Talented Pianist!

Amazing and talented musician!! William arrived early to the dress rehearsal and ceremony to make sure everything was set up correctly. We even requested a specific transition which he executed perfectly. We were very happy to have him and he is worth every penny! Guests commented afterwards on his music.
