About

Welcome to WilliamVZ Music, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based wedding music service! My name is William VanZytveld, and I have been playing piano/keyboard for weddings across the state of Michigan since 2021. My goal is to deliver on couples' musical envision for their wedding, whether that be learning a new song, playing a familiar song in a different genre, or taking advantage of keyboard sounds to imitate an ensemble (i.e., strings). I've frequently traveled for weddings outside my home base in Grand Rapids, which gives me an excuse for a road trip to see different parts of the country.

Outside of weddings, I've had experiences playing background music for brunches, formal evening dinners, and cocktail gatherings in downtown Grand Rapids.

When I'm not rehearsing for an upcoming wedding, I enjoy a second helping of coffee lovers' dream ice cream by the lake while reading a good book.

Wonderful!

William was absolutely incredible! From the planning process to our wedding day, he was wonderful to work with. He was professional, responsive, and made everything so easy, giving us complete confidence that the music would be one less thing to worry about.

His piano playing was absolutely beautiful and added such an elegant touch to our ceremony. The live music created a warm, romantic atmosphere that truly elevated the entire experience and made our wedding feel even more special.

We received so many compliments from our guests about the music, and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision to have William play. If you’re looking for a talented pianist who is not only amazing at what he does but also a pleasure to work with, I highly recommend him!

So Seamless! Beautiful Music!

Oh My! Super happy with William accompaniment for our daughter’s wedding this past weekend!

He is professional, was on top of all communication,  and made sure he had a clear picture of what my daughter wanted.

He joined us for the rehearsal, and the day of the music floats seamlessly through all the different parts of the ceremony.

Highly recommend! Thank you so much William for being a part of our day and making it beautiful!

Exceptional Pianist

William demonstrated excellent, prompt communication, and his website was very helpful. His process of providing a curated list of suggested music—along with guidance on the ideal timing for each piece during the event—was invaluable. His performance was outstanding, and many of our guests asked where we found such a talented pianist.

Excellent Pianist

William did an excellent job playing piano music for our wedding ceremony. He is extremely talented, was punctual, pleasant to deal with, set up and tore down very independently and inconspicuously. He did an excellent job playing the songs we requested. Can’t recommend him enough!

We cannot recommend our William enough! From the very beginning, he was incredibly easy to work with and made the entire process stress-free. I simply sent him the songs I wanted, and he played every single one beautifully. His talent is truly unforgettable. 

He created the most beautiful atmosphere for our ceremony, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing he was.

Beautiful piano hymns!

William was professional, friendly, and the music was beautiful. He sent us samples of his music in the genre we chose before we booked with him. The hymns he played helped to set the tone of our wedding and added so much beauty to the ambience. We are so glad we chose William to play our wedding ceremony music! Thank you!

So happy we found William!

We could not have asked for a more perfect pianist for our daughter’s wedding day. The music was absolutely beautiful and created such an elegant, romantic atmosphere for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. Every song was performed flawlessly, and so many of our guests commented on how talented and professional William was. We appreciated that he played during rehearsal too.
