Sydney and Evan captured our wedding day at Harmony Meadows, in Manson, WA. We weren't sure we wanted a videographer to capture our big day, but we also knew we wouldn't regret it. When we saw our wedding coordinator had just worked with them, we knew it was sign! We hopped on a call and the rest is history. We were so confident we were meant to work with them, we didn't even research other videographers. We showed them a few wedding videos we liked and they absolutely nailed it! It captured all of our favorite moments from our day and some spectacular drone footage of our venue (yes, they can literally do it all!! The drone footage was so cool). Sydney and Evan are kind, thoughtful, and naturally gifted - They were meant to do this. You will not regret working with these superstars to capture your day!

We absolutely loved having Syd and Ev capture our day! Syd and Ev worked with our short timeline and were so kind and understanding of our family dynamics. When we met with them during our consultation they were quick to catch our vision and were excited to make our dreams come true! Through out the wedding their guidance was helpful and their passion for what they do was so evident! They were good at communication and we are in love with our photos and video!

Sydney and Evan are absolutely amazing!!! They walked us through our day and stayed calm the whole time! They got so much footage of our wedding without us even noticing which made our video that much more meaningful to have those true loving moments to look back on. This isn't our first shoot with them and won't be our last, for any photography or video needs go to them you won't be disappointed :)

Syd + Ev captured us PERFECTLY in these photos. They captured our raw and goofy selves and we couldn’t be more appreciative. We felt so comfortable with them, and had an amazing time for our engagement shoot. It makes me so excited for our wedding day. We know they’ll be amazing.

I originally reached out to Sydney + Evan to schedule a surprise engagement shoot disguised as a family/dog photo session. They both were not only incredibly receptive and responsive to the plan, but continually contributed ideas to take it to that next level. They scouted the location before the shoot and confirmed that it would be the perfect spot. We also talked back and forth about day-of timing/planning as well as just shared in the excitement of the whole day!

Throughout the shoot, we agreed to a mix of guided and self-guided photos throughout. No matter how staged and silly we felt laughing at each other's jokes to break a genuine laugh, Sydney and Evan made the photos look so natural and tied to the moment.

After the shoot, they delivered the digital copies of all photos (and there were more than I expected) in just a few days, fully edited and ready to download. They sent us a few sneak peaks as well!

We also planned to do a drone shoot after the proposal shoot, where we went and met them at a different location. We chose a more dramatic area for better landscape-style photos with me and my fiancee. Sydney and Evan just have always been willing to go the extra mile to make the experience as well as the photos memorable and obviously super fun.

On an additional note, we did do the proposal shoot pre-vaccine days, and both Sydney and Evan were incredibly respectful and responsible when it came to me and my family's safety and well-being.

I have recommended them to my friends and colleagues out here in Washington and cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for a fun time with awesome people and even better photos. Thank you Sydney and Evan!

The engagement session was great. The problems came seemingly without warning. Both my husband and I were very excited to have Sydney and Evan capture our wedding day. However, as the day rolled around I could tell something was off just before the ceremony because Sydney ignored the wedding coordinator and stormed out of the bridal suit. After the ceremony things got worse. It wasn't until we got back from our honeymoon that we truly learned how awful these two treated my family and guests at my own wedding.

Apparently, during the wedding, Sydney and Evan were upset that we had "breached our contract" by allowing another photographer to take pictures at our event. They pulled my mom aside and told her that they were "very upset" that their contract had been breached. My mom asked them who it was that was breaking the contract and they refused to point out who it was. They came to my mom and the wedding coordinator again during the wedding and still refused to tell us who exactly was breaking the rules, and this time they added that people kept "getting in their way and ruining their shots". Because they did not share who it was, the "problem" could not be handled. Sydney and Evan broke their contract by leaving 2 hours before their contract was supposed to end. The wedding coordinator begged them to at least stay to capture the first dance because she caught them walking out. They did stay through half the dance, but then used the fact that the wedding coordinator had asked them to stay as an admission of guilt. They said, "since she asked us to stay, she knew she was in the wrong".

After the honeymoon, I texted Sydney and did not get a response for a week. I texted her AGAIN and was told that in order for me to get my wedding pictures I would have to pay them an hourly rate to "renew my contract" and "add my photos back into the queue" to be edited. Not only did they ask for more money, but they inferred that they would not even be the top priority. I refused to pay them the money and they responded with "because we are not heartless we have decided to finish the photos" - like we were supposed to thank them for finishing their job. This entire argument and interaction took about 3 weeks of texting.

We finally received the pictures at 4 pm on the last day of the contract (Sep 25th), and were disappointed that we did not receive one family portrait that seemed edited. The pictures from the first half of the day were just as promised, they were beautiful. However, I did not get one picture with my bridesmaids in the bridal suit, and I did not receive a picture of the front of me getting ready... they are all of my back. It is clear through the progression of photos we received throughout the day, that the photographers were getting annoyed because the photos got more and more sloppy.

My mom decided to post an honest review about the day's events and about her disappointment in SOME of the photos. I agreed with what she posted, however, have not gotten around to writing a response until now because I am a college student who is drowning in homework and exams. The review my mom posted resulted in a lot of backlash from Sydney and Evan (expectedly). However, instead of taking it up with my mom, Sydney texted me and informed me that a cease and desist letter would be sent to us immediately and that we had "no right" to post a review of their work. They then took down their Instagram, Facebook, Google business, and Website. They also proceeded to write a response to the review stating that we served alcohol to minors and without a permit, they claimed that my mom was the only one who had a problem with any of their work and that the only disturbances at the wedding were my "dysfunctional family members". This outraged me beyond any belief. They took things I had said to them back in August and used them completely out of context (I have text receipt proof). And lied about not being in contact with me since August.

I am now here to try and clear things up and state my, the bride's, side of things. What Sydney and Evan did was unprofessional and heartless.

UPDATE to my wife's first review. As of this morning, they have deleted their Instagram page...took down our daughter's photo gallery which was supposed to be active for about 30 days. Made their business page private, and closed their business online, so that no one else can post negative reviews on google reviews. Our daughter and the wedding venue were posting their own reviews but now they can't post because Wilde Ivy is "closed". Our daughter has been in touch with several other brides who experienced the same thing at their own weddings with Wilde Ivy. Their google response back to the google review is full of false accusations, even claiming that we served alcohol illegally. This would not have been allowed at our venue at Bella Fiori Gardens. This venue has a strict policy that requires a licensed bartender to be hired if alcohol is served. We served non-alcoholic apple cider... Our wedding venue has blacklisted Wilde Ivy to other local wedding vendors in the area and will not allow them to shoot at the venue in the future due to what happened at our daughter's wedding! Please do not hire this couple!!
