We stopped at Wheeling Country Club as we left Oglebay in dismay at how much Oglebay charges for wedding receptions. We thought that Oglebay was the only place in the Wheeling area to offers the type of up-scale wedding that we wanted. We were wrong. Wheeling Country Club offers just about everything that Oglebay does, at a fraction of the cost and with no hidden fees.
The staff at the country club were amazing. They spent hours with us and our families explaining all of the options for the menu, the decorations and the set-up of the hall, and they gave us great suggestions for a florist/decorator, DJ and cake maker. There were no hidden fees like a cake cutting fee or extra charge for the dance floor. Everything was clearly spelled out in the book they gave us.
The food was amazing. The room was beautiful. The staff was friendly and professional. My wedding went off without a hitch. I highly recommend this venue
