Shannopin Country Club

Our wedding at Shannopin was absolutely perfect! All the staff were so attentive and helpful, the food was delicious, and the venue is absolutely beautiful. Breanna and Megan did a great job coordinating and making our wedding day run smoothly. All our guests still are talking about how it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We highly recommend having your wedding at Shannopin!

We had our wedding reception at Shannopin Country Club and we cannot recommend it enough. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and there are so many spaces for guests to enjoy. We got so many compliments on not only how beautiful our wedding was, but also on how great the food was and how wonderful the staff was, who were so kind and accommodating to our guests. They went above and beyond to make our day extra special not only the day of, but since the day we booked.

Our wedding experience at Shannopin was wonderful! Breanna was very helpful and made sure every detail was how we imagined it. The staff was very accommodating to all of our guests!

Jacquie and the entire Shannopin team were amazing. My wedding was better than I dreamed it would be. They weren't just organized, gracious, thoughtful, and easy to work with—they were also proactive, which I greatly appreciated!!! Apparently, my wedding arch fell down (we got married on a rather windy day!) and broke, but they had it fixed before I ever even knew it happened! Also, the staff was just so so sweet and incredibly attentive to me and my guests. I felt so taken care of there and that really helped me and my husband enjoy what can be such an overwhelming day.

We had our ceremony at Shannopin, and I can not recommend it enough. Not only was it so gorgeous overlooking the grounds, rolling hills, and the city skyline, but it was also so much more convenient and less stressful for us and our guests not to have to navigate between two sites. They also had so many pretty little areas around the country club that made for amazing pre-and post-ceremony photos with friends and family!

The reception area was so warm, beautifully decorated, and open that I knew even if for some reason something went wrong with the flowers or decorations, the place would still feel beautiful and romantic. I also must say, the food was truly, and I am not exaggerating, the best wedding food I've ever had. Multiple wedding guests came up to me after dinner to tell me how amazing it was!

Long story short, I loved my wedding, and I can't thank the wonderful people at Shannopin enough for making it better than a dream come true.

There is nothing we would change about our wedding day. From the food, to the venue, to the service everything was perfect at Shannopin. Jacquie went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. If we were to do it all over again we would pick Shannopin every time!

Jacquie the coordinator of Shannopin’s events did everything to customize, accommodate, and professionally manage our wedding day from special food and drink orders to all the small touches and necessary adjustments that made our ceremony on the beautiful grounds before the days rainstorm go off without any issues. The price of the venue for the quality was far better than anywhere else in Pittsburgh- oh and that view that can’t be beat!! The food is incredible and so is the staff; they also went out of their way to help with my setup and other requests I had. My family keeps telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I would whole heartedly recommend Shannopin.

My son had his wedding reception at Shannopin Country Club on June 8, 2019. It is a great venue with lots of space for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. There were 3 bars set-up and the service staff were attentive and polite. The food was prepared and presented well. Jacquie Ricketts, the Events Coordinator, is excellent at overseeing the event from planning through the day of the party. She is flexible, knowledgable and courteous. Truly I knew we were in good hands and things ran smoothly. Many of our guests complimented us on our choice and expressed their delight after attending the reception. We recently held our wedding reception at Shannopin Country Club. Jacquie Ricketts the Wedding Coordinator is awesome! Jacquie has 25+ years experience in planning weddings at Shannopin Country Club. She's so calm, cool, and organized which helped make the process super easy and fun for us and our family. She was with us every step of the way to help with details and make suggestions of how we could carry out our wishes. It was literally like getting a free wedding planner included. She made suggestions of DJ's, florists, cakes, hotels, and much more. Jacquie's experience shines bright through her staff - who were amazing at providing dedicated attention to each of our 185 guests.
The club itself is absolutely beautiful. The guests loved the views of the Pittsburgh skyline from the patio off of the ballroom. The course looks awesome, and the grounds surrounding were very well maintained. Guests also enjoyed the different areas to converse during cocktail hour - some liked hanging on the patio at the outside bar - while others chilled indoors at the lounge bar. The variety of rooms at your reception will allow the guests to achieve their ultimate comfort level. The ballroom features a traditional country club charm paired with a modern vibe that will please all of your guests. The Chef at the club is truly a professional who is equipped to impress. One of the first things current members told us was how amazing the food was at Shannopin. Chef will customize and suggest a menu and work with you if you want to do something a little different. We choose the Braised Short Ribs, Tuscan Chicken, and Herb Crusted Cod for our entrees. My mouth is watering just typing the entrees. One of your favorite parts of the planning process, will be the food tasting. If your nice, Jacquie will hook you up with some amazing wine to go along with your tasting experience. Following the wedding some guests even called to tell us that it was the best piece of chicken they had ever eaten. We are totally overwhelmed at the positive feedback we have been receiving from the event. The premium bar service is unlike any wedding I have ever attended. With over 8+ wine options, 10+ beer options, top shelf liquors - your guests will have no problem finding a drink and if they are I am confident one of the bartenders will make it happen.
Throughout our wedding planning process we were very focused on delivering a first-class experience to our guests. Shannopin Country Club was the right fit for us, because of their commitment to first-class service. After researching the club we found the member satisfaction to be extremely high compared to other clubs and one of the few Pittsburgh Country Clubs with a skyrocketing membership increase. We just had our wedding at Shannopin Country Club. Jacquie the Banquet Director made sure everything was done to perfection. The food, the view, the overall experience was five star quality.
