Reviews of Wedding Judge Chicago

Since we were having our ceremony at our wedding venue (the Garfield Park Conservatory) and our families belong to different churches, we needed a judge who could perform a nondemoninational wedding ceremony. Judge Jordan did an amazing job. His service was moving and beautiful and he let us insert our personal touches. He has a very commanding presence and just does a wonderful job. Our only concern is that we weren't given a full script of his service in advance, but we did not have to be worried because it was perfect. He has conducted hundreds of weddings in all sorts of venues in Chicago and the suburbs.

We booked Judge Michael Jordan over the phone, as we were planning long distance from Indiana. He made sure to ask us about all the important parts of the ceremony to make sure we had everything the way we wanted it.

We honestly had no idea what the ceremony would be like until it happened. My family all complimented our ceremony though, it was very beautiful. Afterwards, he just disappeared, and we were a little confused. But everything worked out great and he was very affordable.

Judge Jordan was punctual, professional and conducted the ceremony with respect and dignity. We did not know what his prepared words were going to be ahead of time, but they turned out to be perfect. Very sweet ceremony, and for those who want it, secular. Would recommend his services to others.

DO NOT use him!!!!!!

Horrible experience, he would not meet with us prior to the wedding. He showed up and said we had better be on time b/c he has to leave right after to go to another wedding, really you booked 2 in one day? We were on time but way to add to the stress of the day. I wrote out what I wanted him to say, he showed up with the paper folded in half and read it word for word as if it was the first time ever reading it. His eyes never left the paper. He does not have a nack for public speaking. The ceremony ended up being cold and impersonal and a bit of an embarrassment, luckily the rest of the day was perfect. Funny someone else mentioned to that he looked/sounded drunk b/c we had close friends say the same thing to us. When I emailed him afterward voicing our concerns he threatened to sue us for defamation of character. You would be better off having a friend get ordained.

We hired him for our nonreligious wedding. I asked him for a short meeting so we could talk about what he says so we know what to do when. He refused to do so, or even call me. He said "as long as you can say "I do" you are fine. Well, he was awful the day of. He said some crap that we couldn't really understand, didn't attempt to cue us on what was next or anything. He didn't cue anyone for the rings, my mom just ended up walking up with them, in fear that he was going to do it without them. He BOOKED it out of there faster than we could get down the aisle. He was at least 20 feet ahead of us leaving the ceremony area. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone who wants a real ceremony. He made us feel as if we got married in a courthouse, which is what we were trying to avoid.

We booked Judge Michael Jordan over the phone and he told us one price, but then, when we met each other he asked a different price-150$ more. Unprofessional...

I did not book with him. HOWEVER I requested to chat with him in June and just got a call in Late December also late at night. By this point, I had already booked with a different officiant. He was very rude on the phone. When I told him I had already booked with a different officiant, he questioned their validity and said "Well I hope they stand up in probate" and then hung up on me.

Spoke to judge Michael Jordan and he was very thorough. We liked him, mailed him out deposit. Then come the wedding day, went around to our guest, to my husband in front of guests asking where his other half was. If we had his money. Etc. So Unprofessional!! I am appalled that he did this. My guests and husband thought he was drunk Bc they couldn't believe the way he was acting. Then let alone he asked my husband for my name, then asked me before the ceremony and then during the ceremony asked again. For $450...... he was garbage. If I would've known he went around doing this before the ceremony he would've never gotten paid. DO. NOT. HIRE.
