Words can't describe my experience with Tony!! I was looking for a custom engagement ring to propose to my girlfriend and I had been to what felt like every diamond dealer in the jewelry district before I found Want My Diamond, and it straight up felt like I was dealing with skeezy used car salesmen all trying to rip me off. By the time I met Tony, I was already so apprehensive and just waiting to hear another aggressive pitch. EXACT OPPOSITE!! I guess he felt my nerves or something, but within 2 minutes of telling him about all the details I wanted, he said something like "This is a time to celebrate, not stress" and it really felt like he wanted to make this a happy process for me.

He gave me a crash course on diamonds, made me a computer design that was almost spot on to what was in my head, and he made me a ring that had my new fiancé feeling like a queen. Best of all, his price ended up being waaaay less than all the jerks downstairs claiming to give me their "cost pricing." Even after I paid him, picked up the ring and left, he remembered that I said I wasn't sure of her ring size, texted me, and told me he would resize it for free if I needed him to, tooootal class act. I'm so glad I found this guy!! I can't wait to see what he comes up with when I send my fiancé to him to make my wedding band HAHA.

Working with Tony at Want My Diamond was like no other Diamond experience I’ve ever had (in the very best, most positive way). I was looking to upgrade my wife’s Diamond after 40 years and tried using a local jeweler, but I kept finding the diamonds they recommended were not the quality I was looking for. I knew my 4C’s about diamonds, but never knew how important polish, symmetry and fluorescence were as well. Tony showed me many diamonds, all better than I had seen and less expensive. We settled on a beautiful 2.5 carat diamond and Tony still had some more magic for me. He took my wife’s existing ring, her mother’s engagement ring and put them into a beautiful pendant & chain and shipped her new ring, her band that needed rhodium and the pendant in separate boxes (overnight). I was apprehensive at first to wire such a large amount of money to someone I hadn’t personally met. I was relieved to find so many 5.0 reviews from other customers of Tony that took away that apprehension. I thank all of you who left past reviews as it was you and Tony’s excellent communication that made me pull the trigger and do this. I can honestly say, it was the best, most enjoyable purchase I have ever had. My wife was absolutely thrilled with her new diamond ring and so thankful for the pendant that now holds her original ring and her mom’s. I came to Tony looking for a diamond upgrade in my fiancée’s engagement ring on a short timeline (I was getting married in 40 days), and I got more than I could have imagined.

Even though I already had a ring made by another jeweler, I didn’t know much about diamonds or engagement ring craftsmanship. I knew that my original ring and diamonds weren’t performing well (they weren’t sparkly and the ring was heavily weighted) and I thought the main issue was the center stone. I thought if I simply upgraded the center stone from an I color to an F color, then I would have a sparkly diamond. I didn’t realize that in addition to the diamond, there are many aspects of ring craftsmanship (and diamond cutting) that make diamonds sparkle and make a ring look beautiful.

I spoke with many (~15) jewelers in the LA diamond district in search for a diamond swap. Tony was the only one who brought up other craftsmanship points that had to be addressed. To name one of many examples, the first time I brought the ring to him, he quickly identified that the inside of my original ring setting was not smoothed and polished. These are details that only fine jewelers will catch or care to fix.

In addition to his craftsmanship, he also manages his business and customer service professionally. Within days after my first visit with him, he had sourced 5 diamonds to the exact specification I had asked. Every time I called him, he answered. Every time I texted him, he texted back immediately or within a few minutes. When you’re going through a ring design on a tight timeline, these kinds of things build trust, confidence, and a relationship.

I ultimately decided to have my original diamond upgraded, the ring itself improved, and have him craft an entirely new wedding band. Not only did Tony deliver everything perfectly on schedule before my wedding, the ring and wedding band look beautifully crafted and the diamonds are incredibly sparkly and fiery.

Before meeting Tony, the diamond process was confusing and frustrating. Now after working with him, I understand what to look for in diamond rings, and even better, I have a high quality jeweler that I can trust. Thank you, Tony.
