"Have FINALLY found the time to post my review for Vonnie's Custom Cakes.
We shopped for wedding cakes at all the high end bakeries for my daughter's micro-wedding and although we invited less than 15 guests due to the Covid era, we still wanted a beautiful 3-tier cake. We were faced with insanely high prices and some less than stellar customer service until we found Vonnie's Custom Cakes. Yvonne is a ""Texas Cottage Baker"" without the overhead that comes with a brick and mortar storefront, and passes those cost-savings to her customers...way over 1/2 off from what the snooty bakeries quoted us. Her cakes are freshly baked and never pieced together from frozen. She provided free delivery to my daughter's home with our choice of sample cake flavors and filling options, where the other shops charged a tasting fee and you had to go to their shop. Yeah, but was it good? Well, we had a side by side tasting with another shop and Vonnie's won - hand's down. She also allowed us to have each cake tier be a different flavor when NONE of the other shops would allow it without jacking up the price. Our tier flavors were Italian Cream, Carrot, and Coconut and all were to die for. Plus we had Lemon cupcakes with Rasberry filling - YUM! There wasn't one request that she didn't say ""of course, I can do that"", and she's as sweet as can be, yet still professional. The cake pricing also included free delivery and setup at our venue. The other shops would have charged us between $50 and $100 for delivery and setup. Did I mention the cake was also beautiful? We tried to choose a simple design, sent her a couple of pictures, and she hit the nail on the head.

Vonnie was so helpful when we initially talked about options for cakes. Vonnie's cake was beautiful and delicious! We chose the white cake, raspberry filling, iced with cream cheese. Her price is unmatched! We are so thankful we chose Vonnie and her custom cakes! We would highly recommend her to family and friends. We look forward to contacting her for cakes in the future.
