Vista at Walnut Hill
We remember the first time we walked up to the barn on our tour day. We loved the opening of the barn doors, the spacious floor, and the beautiful lights inside. It instantly felt magical.
Looking up, you see the stairs lead to the second floor. Having two floors allowed for a bigger party, but it also led your eyes to see how big the barn is inside. The tables and dance floor were decorated nicely. There were spaces for each part of the big day such as food, cake, bar, dancing, and the places for the bridal and groom’s party to get dressed.
Walking outside was a scene to remember. You have your grassy area that has a slight decline so people in the back can still see because they are sitting higher. The wooded area made a nice background for pictures.
Speaking of pictures— Vista at Walnut Hill is gorgeous. When the sun was out, we caught the fields and woods. We had the big barn in the background of our bridal party coming down the aisle. Nearing dusk, our photographer, Leigh Walther, was able to capture amazing photos with Vista’s picturesque land.
Our guests had room to move around whether that was inside the barn or outside. That was comforting as well especially if we knew it would rain. We both felt confident that the wedding would carry on without skipping a beat. Knowing that we could have the wedding inside the barn, if it rained, helped relieve that “what if it rains” feeling.

It just felt right. With everything that we loved about the barn and the scenery, there was something more that helped our decision.
Meeting Fred and Mary Lou was the mic drop. If you just visit to meet this couple, then its a tour well spent. After meeting them, we knew we would be treated like family.
And, what’s so great, is we can visit the Vista at Walnut Hill for future pictures. This means we can visit for our anniversaries or another occasion. We love this ! We can go back every Sept 18 or around that time and visit where we got married!
Fred and Mary Lou are very accommodating, quick to answer, affordable, and they go above and beyond to make your day special. Did we mention that they will even help with decorating and clean up?
This venue will not disappoint. And, it’s a great place for a wedding and reception all at one location.

Vista at walnut hill is the total package for a wedding from start to finish. Fred and Mary Lou were right there from the very first inquiry call and following tour to guide you each step of the way. I knew from the first time I spoke to Fred on the phone when calling a list of potential venues to gather info that he was different. I was blown away by his knowledge, experience, and professionalism. Fred was available by phone and happy to help any time we had a question in the months leading up to the wedding. He was a wealth of knowledge and advice about different ideas couples had tried in the past that worked and didn’t work. The location and barn itself are beautiful and there are many great photo spots. Fred provided a notebook of preferred vendors, décor options, and tons of other useful planning information at the first tour. This information was so helpful and took a lot of the leg work out of finding vendors for the wedding and reception. You can trust that if a preferred vendor is listed in his notebook, they are going to do an outstanding job. On site, the barn is decorated with beautiful antiques throughout and in addition you are allowed to use décor items from their extensive collection of lanterns, centerpieces, signs, linens, arbors, etc.
Fred has so much experience in wedding planning and anticipated things that we hadn’t even thought of. On the wedding day, Fred was overseeing all of the moving parts and even coordinating certain things we had forgotten. He found me and asked me where the carriage was going to pick up the bride and then showed me the different locations and what he recommended. He then went and arranged this with the carriage driver. The cake and cupcakes were dropped off by the bakery but not set up by them as planned, so he quickly jumped into action finding a solution. He was calmly but swiftly walking through and making sure everything fell into place like it was supposed to. This was a huge relief because the last little bit of time leading up to the wedding was a total whirlwind for the family and wedding party so we were not available to help with all of those things.
Fred had shared that the venue idea started after they hosted their own daughter’s wedding there and it is evident that their goal is to treat each bride and her wedding as if it were their own family’s special day. They do not overlook any details, and their availability and willingness to help make it the most personalized and perfect day. The level of commitment and personalization that Fred and Mary Lou provide at Vista Walnut Hill surpasses anything I have ever experienced! Vista at Walnut Hill made it truly a dream come true wedding.

There are so many wonderful things I could write about this venue! Fred & Mary Lou truly go above and beyond to help make your dream day come true! From the beginning tour of the venue space to the actual wedding day, Fred was there every step of the way to offer advice, answer my many questions and truly was a huge asset in every way. With our original wedding day being postponed due to Covid-19 in 2020, Fred and Mary Lou did everything in their power to be a positive light during the chaos. They helped us secure a new date and remained so positive and in close contact with us during the multitude of changes and obstacles that were thrown our way. I truly could not write enough to express my gratitude for everything they did for us!
The venue itself is absolutely stunning- located on a beautiful piece of property that was absolutely perfect for pictures and our vision! The barn seats a large number of guests comfortably and has a large area for dancing! Fred and Mary Lou also have multiple tables, linens, antique furniture and decor that is available to use which was super convenient and all the pieces were stunning. They also have multiple ceremony centerpieces you can choose from and multiple locations on the property for ceremony sites. A new back patio was poured just before out big day and was perfect for cocktail hour, yard games, etc! Overall, I can say without a doubt that we are so glad we chose Vista at Walnut Hill for our wedding venue- truly a day we will never forget!

What a perfect setting for a wedding celebration! Walnut Hill is an absolutely beautiful venue, and we could not be more pleased with our decision to celebrate here. My husband and I cannot thank Fred and Mary Lou enough for their support and assistance in making our daughter's wedding day a truly memorable day!

Couldn't ask for a better venue or person to work with! Fred is the most caring and thoughtful venue owner and did everything to make our day as special as it was! Not only was working with Fred great, he has a great list of preferred vendors that was incredibly helpful. The barn and setting at the Vista is beautiful and makes for wonderful photos! In addition to it being a great venue to add to that Fred has MANY different types of decor (lanterns, florals, etc.) that you are able to use at no additional cost! I would certainly host another event at the Vista down the road! We cannot thank Fred enough for such a great time!

If you ever have the opportunity to hold your wedding here- it will be the best decision you make! From the attentiveness of Fred and Mary-Lou to their help on wedding day, we could not have picked a better place to hold our wedding!! Every guest commented to on how wonderful our big day was and we couldn’t agree more!

Words can’t describe how thankful I am to be able to have such a beautiful wedding at this venue. Fred and Mary Lou Williams are such wonderful people and took good of us through the whole process of us planning our wedding here at the venue. I highly recommend The Vista at Walnut Hill! Mr. Fred and Ms. MaryLou were so amazing and helpful throughout the entire process! Not only do you get to use their BEAUTIFUL barn and property for your wedding and reception. They also let you come up for engagement photos, let you use any of the decor they have, provide tables and chairs, and they make sure everything is perfect for your wedding day. Such amazing people and the most beautiful venue you will ever see!

We had our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at the absolutely beautiful Vista at Walnut Hill on 9/14/2019. Five Stars for sure!! Lots of space during this terrible time of "Social Distancing".
When the venue for our wedding became "no longer available", we went into panic mode for about a week! After many phone calls, checking places out and disappointing venues, we came across Vista at Walnut Hill...Thank You Jesus!!
The breathtaking country setting, rolling hills, beautiful barn, meticulously maintained grounds and even the horses was more than we could ask for in a venue.
We had our Wedding Ceremony out in front of the barn in the beautiful stone fire pit area. Fred even suggest the best time to start the ceremony so our guest would be in the shade and comfortable. The views from this area were truly stunning.
We held our Reception inside the barn, which was VERY clean, specious, had a great Bridal Suite, nice clean restrooms and beautiful lighting. The kitchen was very convenient, clean and next to a nice area for the catering service. There was a nice dance floor with room for a DJ and band if needed. The dining area with all the lights, antiques and other decorations was just beautiful....even the bar area.
Fred and MaryLou have a large room full of decoration from candy dishes to outdoor decorations for you to use. Every essential from linens to candles can be used to add the final touches to your dream wedding. Check it out before you spend a bunch of money trying to cover everything yourself!!
Fred and MaryLou are very professional in handling all the major details and also very caring, kind and accommodating in every way to make sure every detail is taken care of on time. Fred stays on top of everything and is always just a phone call away.
Fred has a list of Preferred Food Vendors and Bartenders that he has worked with....what a great help that was. We received many compliments on the bar service and delicious food and coconut cake from Sharpe's Catering Service.
We will be forever grateful to Fred and MaryLou for sharing their gorgeous venue with us, our friends and family. You helped make our wedding an absolute dream come true for a "Senior Widow Bride and Widower Groom" like Paul and I. Thank You so much!!
