About
Joseph Schwartz has been playing violin since the age of three. He studied violin under the guise of Betty Haag-Kuhnke and Jacqueline Bartsch at the Betty Haag Academy and with the touring group, the Magical Strings of Youth. He has performed abroad in Germany, Austria, Portugal, and France as well as domestically at Carnegie Hall and the White House. He was selected as second-chair at the Illinois all-state orchestra competition. Joseph graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a minor in music. Joseph has played in numerous capacities including orchestra member, soloist, violin teacher, chamber musician, and many more. He has played at many events including weddings, proposals, dinner dances, corporate events, cocktail hours, and bar mitzvahs. Joseph is also a part of the Chicago Indie-Rock band, The Mediocre Fight.
Joseph's repertoire includes Classical, Modern, Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Broadway and much more. Joseph's versatility allows him to play for all events and accommodate any unique request.
