History

Villa San Vigilio was commissioned by Agostino Brenzoni, a lawyer, author, and humanist. It was completed in 1520 by Michele Sanmicheli, who was famous for his Mannerist style. The venue features classical statues and artistic elements throughout. Some reflect Roman imagery and depictions of gods, while others highlight Christian themes.
