Mansion Wedding Venues in Italy

We got married in September last year and chose Castello Bevilacqua as our wedding venue, a choice we would make a thousand times over. Ours was a half Italian, half English wedding, so it was essential for us to find not only a beautiful venue but also people who could make both of us feel understood and supported in our own languages. From our very first visit, Castello Bevilacqua gave us exactly that reassurance. Andrea was able to communicate perfectly with me in Italian and with my husband Dan in English, making us both feel relaxed, confident, and well looked after at every stage. The venue itself is simply breathtaking. The castle is stunning inside and out, with every single detail meticulously cared for. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and extremely well maintained; the gardens and trees are treated during summer to prevent mosquitoes, which made a huge difference. Inside, everything was spotless, elegant, and perfectly organised. It truly feels like a fairytale location. However, beyond the beauty of the venue, what really made us choose Castello Bevilacqua was the exceptional level of service. Andrea and his family were absolutely outstanding. Andrea provides the best customer service we have ever experienced, professional, kind, attentive, and always present. This wasn’t just something we noticed; all of our guests commented on it as well on the wedding day. Our journey started around 10 months before the wedding, and throughout that entire time Andrea was flawless: 10/10 communication, 10/10 availability, always ready to answer our countless questions. Even during the busiest part of the wedding season, he would still reply to messages in the evening, which made us feel constantly supported. The wedding packages were also very competitive compared to other venues we visited in North-East Italy. The wedding day itself was perfect. Andrea was present from morning until late evening, along with his family, always on hand to help with anything we needed. The entire staff was extremely professional, especially important with so many international guests, and they truly delivered the Italian dream experience. The food was outstanding. Absolutely incredible. As bride and groom, our only regret is that we didn’t manage to eat as much as we would have liked, but all of our guests went back for seconds and continued talking about the food for months after the wedding. It exceeded the expectations of both our English and Italian guests. The wine and drinks flowed all day, and the evening cocktail package was fantastic. The cocktails were delicious, freshly made by a very skilled and accommodating bartender. Andrea coordinated all other suppliers as well. Overall, everything was simply perfect. Castello Bevilacqua is not just a stunning venue, but a place where you feel genuinely welcomed, supported, and looked after. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone dreaming of an unforgettable wedding

tl;dr: The staff at Castelbrando are very experienced and easy to work with. They definitely went above and beyond to make our destination wedding so, so special. Castelbrando was the only venue that my now-husband and I visited - it was suggested by his family who live locally in Italy (we are currently located in California). Then the pandemic hit and we simply didn't have an opportunity to see other venues... That being said, we couldn't be happier with our decision! Location: Location was slightly tricky since Castelbrando isn't located in a major city. There's a train station nearby, but you would still need a ride from there to and from the castle. Everyone was able to arrive and leave here no problem though. Pre-wedding planner: Before finding a planner, we were able to make the arrangements with Brunella in Banquets. We chose on-site locations for the ceremony, aperitifs/cocktail hour, reception, and after party. Most of our contact was via email, which was preferable due to the time difference. She mentioned the hotel has wedding planners to recommend since we didn't have any, but we decided to find one on our own - she (the planner) then took over most of the contact with Brunella and Castelbrando via email and phone. Wedding suite: We booked Alcova del Conte for a few days, which was an amazing suite if it's an option for you. It was so gorgeous and spacious with lots of nooks/private areas, a separate closet (perfect for hiding my wedding gown from the groom), a split bathroom, and more, all of which made is perfect for a bunch of bridesmaids to get ready on the day of the wedding. Ceremony, San Martino church: A deconsecrated Roman Catholic church which was somewhat small, but still beautiful and perfect for our non-religious ceremony. As the bride, I waited in the lounge (near Reception) until it was time, then walked up the central stairway to enter the church. There weren't quite enough seats for everyone inside the church, but there was a side room that we decided not to use, and the unseated guests had plenty of space to stand at the back. Aperitifs / cocktail hour, courtyard: After the ceremony was cocktail hour in the courtyard right outside the church. Lots of beautiful views surrounding the castle. There were plenty of tables and chairs around, and the setup for the musicians, the bar, and all the food was perfect with the food spread out across different tables so there was never a long wait. Thanks to the amazing staff at Villa Tolomei, our wedding day was absolutely perfect. We couldn't have done it without them. We didn't have a wedding planner since it wasn't in our budget, so luckily the villa has an events team who helped us with the coordination of everything. Special thanks to both Rosi and Anastasia for their help. The grounds are stunning. We had 80 people attend all from the USA and they were amazed of how beautiful everything was. Even if we didn't have florals, honestly it would have still been beautiful. The location is perfect because it's right up the hill in Florence. Majority of our guests stayed in the city center and we hired vans to bring everyone home afterwards. Some of our guests, and ourselves, stayed at the hotel that night. Highly recommend!

We were so lucky to have found Castello Visconteo for our wedding. Throughout the wedding planning process, Camilla was so supportive and helpful. On the wedding weekend the whole staff were brilliant, the day was perfect and it is very much down to the attention to detail provided by Camilla and her team. We can't thank them enough!

Borgo di Castelvecchio is truly a dream venue. We chose it for our wedding and could not have imagined a more perfect setting. The views over the Val d’Orcia are absolutely breathtaking, and the property feels timeless and romantic in every direction. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional—attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our wedding unforgettable. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism. We will cherish our time here forever and cannot recommend it highly enough.

We stayed at the villa and held our son & daughter in laws wedding there. The place exceeded our expectations! From the amazing staff, who was so helpful in their suggestions for anything we needed, to the accommodations - simply wonderful. We planned this wedding from the States and Ginevra was there to help every step of the way. The Villa itself is gorgeous! The grounds, the rooms and the amount of space we all had (we were 26 staying at the villa) was perfect! And the proximity - Florence City Center was walkable or a short bus ride away and as well as the town, which had plenty of restaurants, grocery, shopping & cafes, was amazing. I would highly recommend Villa Merlo Nero for anyone looking to have a wedding or a large gathering or get away!

I fall in love with Torciano Winery here you can made your dream wedding in a fantastic and unique concept of Wine and Love. The aperitivo and the dinner just wow!! Definitely suggest this location Thank you Torciano winery!

We chose Tenuta delle Ripalte for our wedding because we needed a place that could welcome our friends and relatives offering them everything the sea has to offer, we were in fact guests of the structure for 1 week organizing boat trips, horseback riding and tastings of their wines. The large villas also allowed us to have barbecues and dinners all together. I think that for every anniversary we will return to this paradise. The cuisine and the staff are incredible, their wines and the internal wedding planning service are highly recommended, they have thought of everything!

I had my wedding at La Tenuta del Gallo this past March. The location was lovely and members of my wedding party enjoyed staying in the rooms on the property. The food was also good and I appreciate the thorough organization. Definitely recommend!

I don't know where to begin! My wedding at I Bonsi was absolutely perfect. Giacomo was beyond helpful from the initial booking, all the planning leading up to the big day, and throughout the wedding weekend. He answered all of my questions (I asked him a lot) and was right there assisting in whatever I needed. My wedding was nearly all americans and we were quite a rowdy bunch- he and his team handled the craziness with such grace! I could not have planned this destination wedding without his help and his connections to multiple vendors in the area. The accommodations were absolutely perfect; so clean and beautiful, excellent breakfast, and the pool was a major bonus! We had over 30 people staying on-site which was perfect. The venue itself is stunning. It was truly like a fairytale with the most gorgeous grounds meticulously maintained. Every guest commented on how beautiful the property was and i hardly needed to add wedding decorations. There are so many lovely locations on-site: we had our ceremony in the olive grove, cocktail hour in the rose garden, dinner under the stars in front of the main villa and dancing/drinks inside the canteen. It was all perfect. I cannot thank him and his team enough for everything they did to make our wedding unforgettable and stress-free! I wish I could experience it all over again but would do everything the exact same way. We hope to re-visit often and re-live our perfect wedding. ————————————————————- Non so da dove cominciare! Giacomo è stato estremamente disponibile sin dalla prenotazione iniziale, per tutta la pianificazione che ha preceduto il grande giorno e per tutto il weekend del matrimonio. Ha risposto a tutte le mie domande (gliene ho fatte molte) ed è stato sempre presente per aiutarmi in qualsiasi cosa avessi bisogno. Il mio matrimonio era composto da quasi tutti americani e noi eravamo un gruppo piuttosto chiassoso - lui e il suo team hanno gestito la follia con tanta grazia! Non avrei potuto organizzare questo matrimonio di destinazione senza il suo aiuto e i suoi contatti con diversi fornitori della zona. Le sistemazioni erano assolutamente perfette; così pulite e belle, colazione eccellente e la piscina è stata un grande vantaggio! Avevamo più di 30 persone in loco, il che è stato perfetto. La sede stessa è stupenda. Sembrava davvero una favola, con i terreni più belli e curati nei minimi dettagli. Ogni ospite ha commentato quanto fosse bella la proprietà e non ho quasi avuto bisogno di aggiungere decorazioni per il matrimonio. Ci sono così tanti luoghi incantevoli in loco: abbiamo celebrato la cerimonia nell'uliveto, l'ora del cocktail nel roseto, la cena sotto le stelle di fronte alla villa principale e le danze/bevande all'interno della mensa. È stato tutto perfetto. Non potrò mai ringraziare abbastanza lui e il suo team per tutto ciò che hanno fatto per rendere il nostro matrimonio indimenticabile e senza stress! Vorrei poter rivivere tutto da capo, ma rifarei tutto allo stesso modo. Speriamo di tornare spesso a trovarlo e di rivivere il nostro matrimonio perfetto.
