Due to Hurricanes Irma and Maria, our hotel in Puerto Rico cancelled our destination wedding plans two weeks prior to our wedding date. As we did not want to completely postpone our wedding until next year, we decided to relocate everything on very short notice to Miami Beach, FL. After countless hours of searching for a unique space (typical hotel or banquet were out of question for us) that suits our personalities, characters and style, we tripped upon Villa Azur. After having explained our situation, Genevieve, the Special Events and Marketing Manager immediately responded. Not only did she sympathize with our situation, but helped us to put on a wedding that our family and friends will still be talking about for years! Genevieve truly deserves a medal! Not only is she very professional, accommodating, flexible and friendly, but she responds immediately, RESOLVES LAST MINUTE PROBLEMS in no time (e.g. our baker did not show up...Genevieve organized a PHENOMENAL LAST MINUTE CAKE REPLACEMENT IN NO TIME, which will be a most cherished memory for the rest of our lives) while keeping you sane, helping to feel beautiful and relaxed so everyone can just enjoy that one special day in life! The whole team is phenomenal, and every penny you spend at that location is worth it!!!!! My only suggestion is: if you bring some personal items for decoration purposes that have value, DO NOT leave them to be stored over night. Much will DISAPPEAR. Take all that you want to keep with you at the end of the night! Also, if you plan to bring in baskets with toiletries for your guests to refresh and want to keep the remainder, take them also with you at the end of the night. Ours were completely emptied by the staff that offered similar powder room services on the night of our event, which was very disappointing.
