I had my manicure/pedicure, hair and make-up done at Vanis Salon and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the salon. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

I'm a LONG time client of Vanis Salon, frequenting the Schererville location every 6 weeks to see my stylist. Vanis is not inexpensive, yet the quality (in my opinion) exceeds middle of the road salons that are less costly (trust me I've tried). Keep in mind, Vanis likely has a stylist that will work with your budget provided you're ok booking with someone with a little less experience (but certainly trained & professional). I wouldn't have trusted my bridal 'do to anyone but my awesome stylist at Vanis. I also booked 5 others for blow dry & style or up-do for the big day. Each stylist was great and everyone in my party was pleased with their final outcome. I loved my hair and couldn't have asked for better.

My hair was the main thing people at the wedding commented on, and they are still commenting on how amazing my hair looked. My stylist was Ally at the Crown Point, IN location. My hair stayed all day and night with no touch ups (10:00 AM - 2:00 AM)! Ally was very talented at taking my description and bringing it to reality. The price was quite reasonable for the quality of service I received.

The only downside was that my maid of honor's hair fell almost immediately and had to be recurled on location. She had a different stylist than I did. If you choose this location, ask for Amber or Ally as I have always had impecable service from both ladies.

Vanis did a great job with my hair and make up. The woman who did my hair worked with the tiara and other hair jewlery I brought it. The Make up woman did a great job making my look natural and polished. She was friendly and worked with my input.

I went there in June or July and been spending thousands of dollars with them and I got some really good so and wet. Then after the hair is no good or she's ready to do more different hair. She says get the taping. I buy the tape and for about the same price a few hundred and I had one piece start to slip. Then the same night another piece Falls right out of my hair. I have to wait 2 days to fix my hair that I've been thousands of dollars on. I might as well go somewhere janky and cheap and get better service and better appointments. I can't give them a tip and credit card or debit card and has to be cash. I don't carry cash so this is not convenient. You know I have to spend $1,000 and I got to spend $100 on tips and cash. I'm so over this. When I get bad hair they can't fix it for a week or more.. attaching a piece or picture of my hair that fell out after my first piece screwed up maybe an hour or two before. So sad
