Val Vista Lakes is a wedding venue located in Gilbert, Arizona. Situated only a short drive from downtown Phoenix, this waterfront property promises beautiful views and premier service. You and your guests are invited to whisk yourselves away to a place of wonder and delight. Feel the warm, soft sand rise up and envelop your toes in cushions of white and gold. Experience the wind’s gentle caress as you relax in the shade of a palm tree. Listen to the whispers of the gentle waterfall as you admire the stately majesty of the distant mountains. Take pleasure in the knowledge that your day really can be as big as your dreams.
Facilities and Capacity
Val Vista Lakes is able to accommodate up to 200 guests. The venue is comprised of a number of charming event spaces. The Banquet Room is of Tuscan design and features fine wood, Italian marble tile, and a number of handsome windows. The Grassy Oval is a gorgeous spot for an outdoor wedding. It affords an unimpeded view of the glistening lake. Its position relative to the waterfall means that you and your partner can exchange your vows with that picturesque element perfectly positioned in the background. The Palm Patio is a great place for your guests to mingle and enjoy an after-ceremony cocktail. The Palm Patio and the Grassy Oval are only available with a Banquet Room rental.
Services Offered
Val Vista Lakes prides itself on its flexible planning options. Their goal is to give you the freedom you need to plan the event that you want. The venue does not require you to use an in-house service provider. They are happy to provide you with a list of preferred vendors, but they allow you to assemble your own team. Your chosen caterer is expected to supply all necessary linens. White ceremony chairs, Chiavari reception chairs, a projection screen, and a 32-inch flat-screen TV are available for rental. The venue’s catamaran boat is also available for rental, so you and your guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of the lovely, lounging lakes.

Val Vista Lakes Wedding Venue 02/22/20
We picked Val Vista Lakes because it's such a beautiful venue with a beautiful reception area with a window wall that looks out to the lake and hardwood floor and chiavari chairs inside. We loved that we could choose all of the vendors that we worked with and ended up using several of the vendors that were on Val Vista's recommended list. It definitely made our wedding feel more like us and less like a package that we had no agency over.
On our wedding day, the grounds and reception area were both immaculate and all of tables and chairs were ready for us to setup before we arrived at the venue. Mackenzie was also there in case we needed anything but the rest of our vendors were already experienced with Val Vista Lakes so the entire day went very smoothly. We had 162 guests (17 tables) and the reception area was a good size to seat all of them and still have room for the dance floor and room for the bar. You could probably comfortably seat another 3-4 tables. Also, because the venue also has the living room area, lawn, patio, beach, and garden areas there was plenty of space for our guests to mingle around during the cocktail hour and reception.
Our wedding was just perfect and we can't thank Val Vista Lakes enough for being a part of our day.

The rental only comes with tables, chairs and your choice of special color lighting in the reception hall, but that was perfect for me cuz I could choose whoever I wanted for my vendors(which was a rather unusual bunch lol). Also you could rent more things on top of the space such as a boat (it IS by a lake!), a TV to show video or slideshows and Chiavari chair upgrades. I didn’t end up renting those cuz I couldn’t afford them but they were still really cool options!
The event managers were really helpful and very communicative and at the end of the event they even gave me this beautiful frame as a gift! How cool is that??
