UMMA is a 93,000 square-foot facility located at the center of the University of Michigan's campus. UMMA features a variety of both spacious and intimate event spaces for catered receptions and wedding ceremonies at a world-class art museum. There are a number of diverse spaces available in the Museum’s Alumni Memorial Hall, the Frankel Family Wing, and the Museum exterior.

Two UM grads couldn't ask for a better wedding location. Kathy was very responsive in helping us get a date booked, and Bruce was a lifesaver both before and after the wedding! There are some quirks that come along with getting married next to so much priceless art (e.g. no hard liquor, candles), but it was well worth it for the gorgeous venue!

It was a seamless process to book the space for our wedding. Kathy was very responsive in the booking process, and Bruce was very helpful in the days leading up to our reception, helping answer my questions on the layout and accommodations. The fees for each space in the museum are fixed (no negotiating - we used the Forum for cocktail hour and Apse for reception). Because it is a museum, there are rules, but nothing unusual that made any difference to us or our guests! It is a great venue!!
