Chris was wonderful to work with. He did our DJ service and lighting. We did not care for live entertainment so Chris also provided ceremony and reception music.
Chris took the time to go over our favorite songs, traditional dances and our "do not play" list. The dance floor was never empty. It was a wonderful night! Thank you, Chris!

We were highly unsatisfied with Chris Childress' Twilight Audio DJ services at our wedding (May 2013 on the North Shore of Oahu). Rather than write a sensationalized review, I'll provide the facts below so you can judge if you'd like to jump into our place for your special event:

- My wife communicated with Chris extensively before the event and clearly spelled out the entrance songs, first songs, etc. We also provided a "must play" and "do not play" list of songs (a move recommended by many of our married friends and wedding blogs).

The following occurred at our wedding:

- Chris played the wrong entrance song when the bridge walked down the aisle; careless and simply inexcusable.

- During the bride/groom first dance, Chris' DJ equipment (i.e. THE music) cut out for 20+ seconds ... on two separate occasions, leaving our guests to sing the song so we could continue.

- During the father/daughter dance, Chris' DJ equipment cut out again for 20+ seconds, effectively ending the dance.

- Chris played less than 50% of our provided playlist of requested songs. On three separate occurrences throughout the reception, the groom talked to Chris, asking him to stick closer to the provided playlist - Chris did not listen until the third and final time (30 minutes before the end of the reception).

- One guest requested the song "Shout" - I'm sure you've heard it at every wedding you've ever been to - instead of playing the typical version that any experienced DJ would recognize, Chris played another song titled "Shout" by the British band Tears for Fears -the song is totally different, is downtrodden, and ruined the energy on the dance floor. When asked if he could play the correct version, Chris claimed that he'd "never heard of it."

- During the last song of the night, Chris' DJ equipment cut out again for 20+ seconds.

Frankly, this was a big disappointment for the amount of money we spent.
