Tristan shot my wedding weekend in Mendocino back in 2011. To day that Tristan did a great job is an understatement. The photos came out better then we thought possible given the environment of our wedding - it was a weekend long camping trip full of industrial artists, burning man exhibitors, roadies on tour break and lots of general mayhem.
Tristan was every where. There were moments captured in the album that I was not even aware another person witnessed (in a good way, nothing untoward). Every image Tristan took told not just a part of our story, but felt like a preview from the trailer for the rest of our lives together.
We could not have been happier with the services provided, the images that were made and the company that came with it. Aside from being a great photographer, Tristan is also super cool and was a blast to have around, making the whole weekend way less stressful. Tristan was completely self directed and needed no prodding from us, we never had to wonder "where is the photographer" and we never thought "that photographer is always underfoot" (the line between being too overbearing and too uninvolved is a very fine one to walk that Tristan does with ease and precision).
Most importantly, our wedding album is just amazing. Tristan has a great eye. We love every image.

Tristan really did an amazing job as our wedding photographer! He was on time, extremely professional, and very organized. I felt relaxed (well, as relaxed as one can be on your wedding day!) knowing that he was taking care of all of the details. Our pictures were unique and very much reflected the spirit of our offbeat art-gallery wedding and reception in San Francisco. Tristan Crane shot my wedding at San Francisco City Hall in January 2012. It was very small and understated. I was heavily pregnant and not feeling very beautiful in my black maternity wrap-dress and beret. I thought it would be nice to have a few photos to show the kids someday, but that's about all I wanted out of it.

Tristan drew out our joy and excitement about the baby, the history and beauty of the magnificent architecture, and gave our last-minute trip to the JP a sense of event, meaning and elegance. We were anything but traditional, but by shooting us in black and white, perfectly framed by the arches, windows and staircases of one of the city's greatest buildings, Tristan put us in context. We were stylish San Franciscans on the cusp of our greatest adventure together. I love looking at those photos.

No matter how you're feeling about yourself or your wedding, Tristan will find what is beautiful and joyful and unique about you and your event and make it into art. I would recommend Tristan to anyone planning a wedding.

I can't say enough good things about Tristan! We hired Tristan for our wedding photography and through the whole process we felt cared for and guided. Tristan was our partner, our secret weapon in memorializing our special day. :D
The photos were delivered fast, and are AMAZING. I'm so proud to show them off, and I love how convenient they are to view and order.
Since our wedding, another friend has hired Tristan to do photographs at her birthday party and I've got a third friend who is thinking of hiring Tristan for HER wedding! Everyone was impressed with Tristan's presence and professionalism, and I'll hire Tristan again in a heartbeat.

Tristan Crane gets a 5/5 for the work done on my wedding. He captured gorgeous moments of us and of our friends and family, and was extremely professional leading up to the event, and during the entire thing. I didn't even really know I was being photographed, and was so surprised and what came back: beautiful shots of me and my husband, and our family and friends with a lot of heart and precision. I look back at these photos and am so happy with the result, and definitely recommend his work to others looking for a photographer. We later hired him to do some maternity photos, which also came out GORGEOUS.
