Tim and his team executed wedding day and it was an absolute dream!! Tim has been very communicative from the start ensuring everything on the contract was going to be fulfilled on wedding day.
The food was delicious and mouthwatering, the food came out hot and fresh - guests could not stop raving about the food. Even my vendors said the vendor meals were delicious! As a bride, of course it was difficult to eat all courses - it makes me wish I was a guest to my own wedding so I could eat everything LOL
During the food tasting I told him we wanted our walnut prawns with more sauce and he put lots of that delicious mayo sauce. The lobster garlic noodles was my favorite dish!
Tim also provided rentals for us - stage, dance floor, chairs. The stage, dance floor, and chairs made the entire ballroom look so dreamy, romantic, and whimsical. I even changed my mind last minute for the chair colors and he was super accommodating
Tim wholeheartedly deserves 5/5 stars! The caterer is the most important vendor for a wedding and Tim ensured he delivered nothing but the best for my guests. TOP Catering was one of the first vendors we knew we had to have. We knew our guests wanted to have Asian food but we couldn't find anything that was good enough down in San Diego so we were so lucky to have found Top Catering!Tim was so incredible throughout the entire process and we were so so so lucky to have him and his team be a part of our day. He responded to our texts and emails even at the oddest hours and always reassured us that everything would be ok! Planning a wedding during Covid times was already rough but it was so reassuring to always know that we had a vendor always on our side. I don't even know where to begin with the amazing job Tim and Top Catering have done to make my wedding one of THE MOST memorable days in my entire life!

Let us start at the beginning. Out of all the weddings I have been to, I particularly remember one wedding where the food was outstanding. I asked my friend about their caterer, so that is how we ended up meeting Tim and Top Catering. After our tasting with them, my wife and I were sold. Since food was our NUMBER ONE priority, we went through Top Catering and Tim first, while the venue and everything else followed. Having looked back, that was by far the BEST DECISION we have ever made.

In regards to Tim, I have never seen anyone more gifted, talented, and truly dedicated at their job. It is extremely rare and such a treat to see someone so passionate and dedicated to their craft. Out of all our vendors, Tim was the best vendor by a LANDSLIDE. He was the most responsive, ensured everything went well on our wedding day, and helped us secure the venue, dance floor, uplighting, and so many other things. Finally, having met and spoken to Tim a few times, I can truly attest that he is just a great human being with a genuine soul.

If you are looking for a greater caterer, I am sure you will find plenty. However, if you are looking for the best caterer who will not only provide excellent food for your guests, but do everything in his power to ensure that you will have one of the MOST MEMORABLE days in your entire life, go with Tim and Top Catering.

Just a few days ago, we had an outdoor wedding with 260+ people.

Tim was amazing to work with! Our venue was hesitant to allow caterers to cook onsite, but Tim handled it with them directly. He was professional the whole time and very accommodating to last-minute changes. Also, the way that pricing works is the easiest. With wedding prices shrouded in mystery, I really like that Top Catering is upfront with their menu and pricing.

The food was delicious and our guests were impressed. We are still eating leftovers from our wedding. I really liked the lazy susan with the middle cut out. It saved us a lot on centerpieces, but there is a little bit of room if you choose to have one. The lazy susan made it super convenient for everyone to share food.

Tim and Top Catering were amazing!!! I cannot sing Tim and his team's praises enough! I just had my wedding this past weekend at Valentine DTLA and Tim and his team were exceptional! The food was sooo good, and there was sooo much of it! Since my husband's family isn't Vietnamese, I wasn't sure what they would think of the food, but I shouldn't have worried because they were blown away! The food was so abundant, that some even joked around waving their napkin saying "I surrender!" The presentation was wonderful, and I was happy as can be with how it all went.

Leading up to the wedding, Tim was fast with his responses, and incredibly helpful with all my questions. He has a strong work ethic, which was clear in his professionalism. Tim also went above and beyond and actually helped save close to $1k for me when I was trying to figure out upgraded rentals. I don't think you can say that about any other wedding vendor out there! Whereas other vendors I sometimes felt were nickel and dime-ing me, I truly felt that Tim not only saved me money, but also gave me the most bang for my buck with how awesome the food turned out.

I also love that the packaging includes, gratuity and rentals in the price. So you have one less worry at the end of the night in figuring out the math.

Tim and Top Catering helped us with our DREAM WEDDING at Malibu Rocky Oaks. They were on-point from beginning to end in every single detail. Every single person came up to me to tell me how AMAZING the food was; even before finishing their meals, they wanted to take their food home LOL. My family and friends are SUPER picky and annoying, but all they did was RAVE about the food.

Part 1 -- Choosing Top Catering:
- I wanted traditional Vietnamese banquet, but with a modern twist and innovation. I got just that, and MORE. I was BLOWN away. The mixture of flavoring and the presentation were extraordinary!
- I told my parents, and they FREAKED out because they said "If your food is bad from Seafood World or Furiwa, then it's ok, as long as you went with a brand. If you food is bad from another company, everyone would complain".
- However, I was VERY confident in Tim and Top Catering because of Tim's professionalism and knowledge.
- So that's how I came to book Tim! I could not have been happier with my choice.

Part 2 -- Months of planning:
- Malibu Rocky Oaks is one of the most logistically difficult venue in the Los Angeles Area as it is a completely bare venue, and Tim was able to respond to all our questions

Part 3 -- Day of Wedding:
- Tim came early with extra servers to cook a MIRACULOUS meal. Guests are still raving about the food!

Do not hesitate. Book Top Catering and Tim. I am going to recommend him to everyone who is planning a wedding. I promise, you will not be disappointed. They will exceed your expectations (trust me, I'm incredibly difficult and picky, and I could not have been more impressed!)

I wish I can give anh Tim more than 5 stars because Top Catering totally deserves it! He was one of my best vendors for the wedding. He was SUPER responsive. He responds to text within seconds! If you ever need anything, anh Tim is only a text away.

Judging from Top Catering's fancy website, I first though that this will be expensive compared to other caterers. But to our surprise, Top Catering's price is reasonable for the food they offer. So no questions asked, I booked our caterer even before I booked our venue because I was afraid Top Catering will be booked on my wedding date.

I was crazy enough to have a tented outdoor wedding in December, but Top Catering managed to keep all the food hot and tasty. At the end of the day, the food was so good that people forgot about the weather. I am talking about a major crowd of old Vietnamese people who like to complain here. But the next day, all I heard were how good the food was or how big the portions were. Our relatives all said that they never had food this good at any wedding. We even had one picky aunt who had to come over to my father-in-law, only at 2nd course, asking which restaurant did we pick. He proudly answered "No restaurant you can get this from, only at our wedding!"

I originally knew that Top's lobster and walnut shrimps are good, but the roasted ducks were some crazy fat ducks that had so much meat I've ever seen in my life! Bride, groom, and bridal party, no matter how busy you will be, you have to sit down and try these 3 dishes!!

Tim was the one vendor that we saw and interacted with the most. Since we had a nearly 2 year engagement, we were able to space out our deposits and each time that we met up with him, we would sit and talk for a few hours like old friends. He is so funny, down to earth, and easy to get along with.

Let's get to the nitty gritty - THE FOOD!! We've been getting feedback from all of our guests, and everyone was so impressed by the food. Even our hard to please parents (you know the type of parents that refuse to go out to restaurants because they can cook at home better than any restaurant can offer) were impressed.

First of all, the portions are so generous! We received comments that everyone was so full and even got to take home food to enjoy the next day. I swear I saw a lot of our guests walk out with bags of white togo containers (and yes, Top Catering came prepared with togo boxes for our guests!) My brother made Bo Ne for breakfast with the leftover filet mignon, and my mom used the leftover lobster to make Bun Rieu. Say whatttttt?!

Most importantly - the food was DELICIOUS. Everyone enjoyed every dish, from the salad to the soup to the lobster with garlic noodles, the filet (which was tender, moist, and flavorful), to the yummy fried rice and crispy sweet and sour fish filets. One of my guests told me she inhaled all of her food and even went in for seconds and thirds because it was JUST that good and the portions were so big. This made me happy.

Our biggest goal for our wedding was to make sure we offer food so good that our guests would still be talking about it after the event was over. Thanks to Top Catering, our goal was accomplished. All of our guests walked away well-fed.

His staff was well-dressed, attentive, and brought out the food in a timely manner. I've always hated going to weddings where the food took forever to come out. NOT AT OUR WEDDING. The food came out hot and served correctly.

I had my wedding April 9th in San Diego and it was the best day ever mostly thanks to Top Catering and Tim! For me, food was the #1 priority at my wedding and I knew I had to have a traditional Vietnamese banquet dinner because it's my favorite food to have at weddings (you know you'll never go home hungry). Unfortunately, SD is lacking in good Vietnamese food for weddings unless you go to a restaurant which are not the nicest here.

Not only was all the food delicious from the tasting to the actual day, but Tim was a pleasure to work with. He was always responsive, honest and helpful. He gave us suggestions for venues to hold our reception, helped give me advice when I had a problem with the venue and called me up to offer a discount he happened to be offering his current clients even though I had already signed a contract. I didn't hire a professional wedding planner but Tim kind of acted like one with all the help he gave me. Since my venue wouldn't provide chopsticks or to go boxes so food wouldn't get wasted, Tim provided it all for me which was great!

On my wedding day, Tim provided Lazy Susans with holes in the middle for our centerpieces and had all the food properly plated and delivered to each table. I didn't get to taste all the appetizers but all 9 courses were delicious. I didn't get to try the macaroons either because someone stole all the ones from my sweetheart table and I couldn't get one from any other table. Guess they were too good. With over 200 people at my wedding I didn't expect for everyone to be happy, especially with my mother in law who is a great cook and my very opinionated family. But I have yet to hear anyone complain that they left hungry or unhappy with the food.

I would definitely recommend Top Catering to anyone who is looking for good service and good food. My friend who has been to 2 weddings catered by Top Catering said he would hire them if he ever got married.

Choosing Top Catering was absolutely the best decision when it came to wedding planning. My husband and I were referred to Tim from my sister-in-law after her wedding where the food was bomb-tastic delicious! Tim was beyond wonderful to work with from helping us find a wedding venue that fit our personality and budget to recommending other vendors such as our day-of coordinator and florist. Tim was the first vendor that we booked throughout the wedding process and we are so thankful that he was! The planning really fell into place from the recommendations he provided with our budget. He was very patient, prompt, and answered all questions and concerns my parents had during the tasting and really worked with us to provide excellent food and service to our wedding guests based on our seating diagram. He was also really flexible to work with; especially as the wedding day got closer and we had a lot of last minute changes/questions/requests. Our guests gave positive feedback stating that both the appetizers and reception food were amazing, and that they were well full after all the courses. It is clear that Top Catering provides only top quality food and service to their clients. My husband and I were fortunate to have a bit of time to eat some of the wedding food during the reception and it was so delicious! The courses we were unable to get to were packed to-go for us and still tasted amazing the day after!! Our wedding cake was included in the package and Van’s Bakery was really helpful in creating the cake we envisioned to have.
