Thornhill Farms Hitching post at Thornhill Farms is a venue hosting wedding celebrations in Sand Lake, Michigan. This 1800's historic barn setting offers a romantic rustic backdrop to your special celebration. The Thornhill family embarked on revitalizing the property in 2018 and continue to add new additions every year.

Facilities and Capacity

Thornhill Farms Hitching Post can host celebrations with up to 230 guests. The rich history of the place, combined with all the modern enhancements made over the years makes it a unique setting for your big day. With multiple event zones, the barn offers diverse spaces. You can have a cozy fire and hangout in our gazebo area that has a hanging fire pit that is perfect for mingling. Our barn has, multiple levels to explore and a variety of distinct seating spaces with quiet areas and lot of photo areas as well. there is plenty of room for guests to spread out and settle in. We have 3 locations to choose from for your ceremony, which are the balcony, the arch facing the field, or our gazebo.

Services Offered

Thornhill Farms Hitching Post has a range of luxury amenities to ensure your special day unfolds seamlessly. The venue is equipped with ample parking, restrooms, tables and chairs, table cloths, decorations for you to choose from, a spacious kitchen, a catering prep area and a fully-equipped bar setup on both ends of the barn along with a gentleman's game area and 2 dance floors. The entire barn is wired for sound with Microphones hookups so your guests do not miss a moment, our amplifiers can be hooked up via hard wire or blue tooth. We also have a climate-controlled Bride and Groom getting ready rooms with another full set of centralized restrooms. for larger events with a quest count over 120 TFHP offers a dining Hall with seating up to 230, the dining hall has a 3-gallon tea maker and a 5-cruet coffee maker, a refrigerator, a sweet and hors d'oeuvres service counter, a gift wagon and a dry bar setup available for your use. In the event of inclement weather, the Old Barn or Emory Hall can be used as a wedding back up spot with a little bit of creative set up.

We staff each event with a least 2 people to assist your coordinator with set up, and coordination throughout the event as well as clean up. For a better experience at our venue, we try to help eliminate the stress out of an already busy day.

Outside vendors are welcome, and you can either choose from our curated list of vendor partners or pick your own vendor team to bring your vision to life.
