The Walrus and The Hedgehog is a joint project created by Sean Cardamone, Shannon Clapham, and Travis Desmond, three friends who love to play with food. After years of experience in kitchens across California, a friend asked us to cater her wedding as a team; the success of that collaboration made us realize we wanted to continue to work together to share our passion for seasonal farm to table cuisine. Each of us brings our own culinary personality to the table, and our vision combines a commitment to technique, artistry, and experimentation. We craft our menus with care so that each meal is a unique celebration of time and place, whether for an extravagant wedding or an intimate dinner party. In addition to event and corporate catering, we have launched a stand at the Holly Street Farmers’ Market in Pasadena to highlight local produce and explore new flavors. Wonderful crew, great food and service
The entire experience with Walrus & The Hedgehog was amazing. They walked us through the planning process, making it so easy, and were happy to make any adjustments we asked for.
The food was delicious and all the guests raved about the servers - who friendly and hard-working they were. It was an all-around amazing experience.
We also used Travis as our day-of coordinator, which made everything seamless.

The Walrus and the hedgehog is amazing!
Travis was kind,attentive, and so easy to work with! On top of great customer service, their food was delicious! He let us choose everything that was on the menu and was so flexible with any and all changes that were made. Our guests still rave about the food at our wedding!
