The Stella Hotel & Ballroom is a beautiful wedding venue located in downtown Kenosha, Wisconsin, serving the Milwaukee and Northern Illinois regions. Formerly known as The Heritage House Inn and Elk's Club building, this charming hotel is now a full-service event facility. The century-old building has been tastefully renovated and decorated to facilitate intimate and medium-sized weddings. Couples who marry here can look forward to exploring the downtown Kenosha area, with its many restaurants, shops, and local attractions.
Facilities and Capacity
The Stella Hotel & Ballroom can accommodate weddings of up to 225 guests. Natural lighting illuminates the ballroom for a bright, open space where couples and guests can relax in comfort. Here, everyone can enjoy scenic views of the picturesque location while dining on delicious cuisine from the 1844 Table & Mash Restaurant. For anyone in need of fresh air, the ballroom leads out onto a stylish outdoor deck that is perfect for sipping cocktails and socializing. The Crow's Nest rooftop bar is also available to take in the views, while the restaurant cafe is fully equipped for celebratory breakfasts, coffee, and refreshments. Couples can also host their engagement party, pre-wedding shower, or rehearsal dinner in one of the hotel's function rooms.

Couples can work with a dedicated event planner to organize the special event according to their preferences. Everything was amazing
I’d pick the Stella a hundred times over!
The team has impressive tenure, and the output to back it up. I felt 100% worry free with the team handling everything, which was a blessing. Not many brides can say that they didn’t feel stressed on the morning of the wedding day, but I can! My day went without a hitch (and if there was a hitch, I didn’t notice!).
I would choose the Stella as my wedding venue a hundred times over again. I enjoyed every trip I made to meet with Deanna, even when the wedding planning had me a little stressed. The atmosphere is a tried and true pick-me-up!
If the Stella is on your list, I say DO IT!

Meet Deanna, our all-star Event Manager specializing in weddings and events at The Stella Hotel & Ballroom.
Deanna has been with The Stella since December 2022 but has been working in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, starting as a server and then working her way up to Banquet Manager, Operations Manager, and Sales Manager. “I am so grateful for the time spent in each role because it taught me how each team functions both independently and cohesively in the years or months leading up to an event.”
We asked Deanna what her favorite part of her job was, and here’s what she said; “After the wedding party has been introduced, we close the ballroom doors for a grand entrance. Those few moments before the couple is announced the excitement is building, the pre-wedding jitters are gone, and they’re ready to celebrate with family and friends!”
