The Stella Hotel & Ballroom

Having our wedding at the Stella hotel and ballroom was the best decision ever! During the planning process they went through 3 different event coordinators but Deanna was very good at easing any worries! She and her team were amazing to work with and made the event run so well! All of our guests loved the venue and had nothing bad to say about the service! The food was amazing as well. Everything went perfect and my husband and I cannot thank Deanna and her team enough.

We loved The Stella! It was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue. The ballroom was beautifully done and was the perfect space for both our ceremony and reception. The staff was excellent. The day of our wedding, Deanna was there first thing in the morning to make sure everything was running as smoothly as possible and Dameon made sure the food and bar were running perfectly. They both made sure that our day went as well as it could with zero hiccups, it was the perfect day! The food was also excellent, and to this day our guests still talk about how much fun they had and how much they loved the Stella. I highly recommend this venue!

The Stella has been my dream venue since it opened, and it exceeded my high expectations! The historic architecture is gorgeous, with beautiful natural light, but even more importantly, the staff members are wonderful. Deanna, Dameon and Danielle are all kind and professional, and went above and beyond to make my husband and I feel special! They are detail oriented, with touching gestures like a lobby welcome sign with our names on it for our tasting.

The team has impressive tenure, and the output to back it up. I felt 100% worry free with the team handling everything, which was a blessing. Not many brides can say that they didn’t feel stressed on the morning of the wedding day, but I can! My day went without a hitch (and if there was a hitch, I didn’t notice!).

I would choose the Stella as my wedding venue a hundred times over again. I enjoyed every trip I made to meet with Deanna, even when the wedding planning had me a little stressed. The atmosphere is a tried and true pick-me-up!

If the Stella is on your list, I say DO IT!

The Stella Hotel and Ballroom was absolutely perfect for our wedding. The venue is stunning and requires minimal decor, it’s perfect on its own. We did lot of florals, and the ballroom was classy, romantic and timeless. The staff and coordinator, Jordyn, was so wonderful to work with. She made sure every detail was thought of, and I had no stress because I knew everything was being taken care of. She checked in with me throughout the planning process, and was so organized. The food and drinks were amazing as well. I love that the food, linens, cocktails, hotel rooms, ceremony … (everything!) is all in one spot and things ran so smooth. We had our dream wedding, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. I highly recommend the Stella. If I could do it again, I’d pick the Stella over and over.

Words cannot describe how happy I am with our wedding at the Stella. First of all, it is a stunning venue. There is a certain elegance to it that I did not feel at any other venue I toured. The bridal suite is picture perfect! Food delicious. Lighting phenomenal. We loved that there was a private balcony for those needing some fresh air. The private bar is large and open.

The staff was fantastic. Jordyn, the event coordinator, was an angel to work with. She was so responsive and did everything she could to ensure a smooth day. I even saw her clearing off plates at the reception -- talk about commitment! Everyone was a joy to work with and I would recommend the Stella any day.

We could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding. From the catering and events team to the actual ballroom - everything was PERFECT. We used the Bridal Suite which was the cutest space to get ready in and doubled as a great space for wedding party pictures. We held our entire wedding in the ballroom which was so convenient. The ceremony space seamlessly transitioned into our sweetheart table and then the dance floor while all of our guests were able to hang out at their dinner tables. We have gotten SO MANY compliments on the food since the wedding - everyone loved their cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and plated meals. The Stella is seriously the perfect one stop shop for a wedding! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We were engaged in December of 2018 and quickly decided on Stella Hotel & Ballroom for our initial 10/24/20 reception. Like many, we became a "COVID couple" and had to make the difficult decision to postpone our wedding to the Spring of 2021. The staff at Stella - Jordyn & Tiffany were nothing short of spectacular to work with and worked with us every step of the way to make sure that staying COVID conscience could still be beautiful.
Last minute we moved our ceremony to the Stella Ballroom and again, Stella gracefully adapted and made it happen. Their staff even helped us search high and low for a "misplaced" tuxedo in the early morning hours the day of the wedding.
Our wedding was as magical and custom as we hoped. Starting the morning in the Bridal suite and Elks Room, there was no detail overlooked. All of the suggestions for timeline, room layout, and menu were spot on. We've received so many compliments that we can't even keep up. If you choose to hold your event with Stella - you will not be disappointed. Trust their expertise and suggestions - they know what really makes Stella shine!

My fiance and I cannot rave enough about The Stella Hotel and Ballroom. Their sales team has been a breeze to work with and we are beyond thankful for how flexible they have been during COVID. The venue is beautiful, affordable, a great value, unique, and all-around perfect. Food was incredible. Thank you to The Stella team (Jordyn, Tiffany, Danielle, Tyler, etc.) for all of your help in making our big day so special!

Yvette and team have been super responsive and helpful during this difficult time. We are looking forward to a beautiful wedding for our daughter in September.

The Stella went above and beyond before, during, and after our wedding. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Chicago/Milwaukee area that is unique and affordable, I would strongly recommend checking out the Stella. The team at the Stella is professional, organized, and provides outstanding service. From our first meeting with Yvette back in 2018, Michael and I both had the “warm and fuzzies” about what a unique venue the Stella would be and how well it fit our vision for our dream day. The construction for the Stella was not completed yet, and I’m so thankful we went with our gut and selected the Stella for our wedding. The Stella was flexible and willing to work with to create a custom wedding package which allowed us to stay within our budget. This was a huge priority to us, and we were able to get so much more than we ever imagined (center pieces, day of coordinators, helpful staff, complimentary tasting, etc). It was a pleasure working closely with Yvette and Catherine during the planning process. They were always very responsive and professional.
The day of the venue was perfect and made the day fantastic and easy, not for only the bridal party, but all our guests as well. We had all our events in one place– getting ready the bridal suite, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the Stella. This made the day very easy for us and our guests not having to move locations. With the Stella being near Lake Michigan, we drove a few minutes for gorgeous lake front scenery for our wedding party photos.
The bridal suite was the perfect spot to get ready in. The room was spacious enough for everyone to get ready without feeling crowded. We also got some great photos in this well-designed and decorated room.
The food and drinks were a hit! For our meal selection, we had Chicken Marsala and Ricotta stuffed Ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their food and the plated service. The drinks were well poured, and a wide selection of spirits were provided so our guests could enjoy their drink of choice. We also had custom “bride and groom” cocktails which allowed us to add a personal touch.
During all the dancing, the Stella staff even put the card box and gifts in the locked bridal suite to ensure nothing was stolen. This was not something I asked for but was appreciated and proved that the Stella is always looking out for their guests! The staff at the Stella was even put a card into our card box. All the little Stella touches added up into making our day special.
The next morning, we provided a brunch in the large room next to the restaurant, and it really wrapped up the weekend perfectly for us. The American buffet style brunch portions were generous, and our guests loved meal and the extra time we were able to spend together. For those guests that wanted something else, the Stella café was right around the corner.
Overall, the Stella gave us our dream wedding – unique, classy, and fun! I would highly recommend having your wedding or event here in the future.
