The Secular Celebrant

Greetings! I am Dan Hansen, The Secular Celebrant.

Ceremony and ritual can be important elements of human life. They bring family and friends together to share in the formal commemoration of significant life events and can create an atmosphere of unity and love around those events. Often such ceremonies and rituals we experience, however, are deity- and faith-based, which those of us who are non-religious and secular consider unwanted, unnecessary and contrary to the values we cherish.

I perform respectful, life-affirming and joyful secular celebrant and officiant services for weddings, celebrations of wedding vow renewal, infant life celebrations (in other traditions known as "christenings" or "infant baptisms"), funerals and memorial services.
