Blurring the lines between a corporate party band and an original soulful rock group, The Retreat has entertained countless audiences across the southeast with their unique and organic take on the hits of yesterday and today.
The Retreat is not a stereotypical cheesy show band: there are no matching outfits, no choreographed dance moves, no note-for-note versions of the same songs you've heard over and over again. Rather than this cookie-cutter show, The Retreat was founded as an actual BAND who spent years writing their own music and paying their dues in the musical melting pot of Atlanta. As a result, The Retreat has their own sound, look, and identity--something that can't be faked.
They take this same make-it-their-own approach to immediately familiar past and current hits. Whether it's a DMB-style sax solo on "Some Nights," a punk rock singalong of "Country Roads," a raucous bluesy take on "How Sweet It Is," a dancefloor-shaking rendition of "Get Lucky" or unexpectedly awesome mash-ups like "Don't Stop Believing" and"With Or Without You" or "Wagon Wheel," "Semi-Charmed Life" and "Cruise"... it all still sounds like The Retreat. They put their own legit stamp on each song in a way that few cover bands can do.
The Retreat can take care of almost all aspects of an event. Be sure to
talk to us about:
- solo jazz saxophone for a cocktail hour or rehearsal dinner
- classical piano or guitar and vocals for a wedding ceremony
- an acoustic male and female coffeehouse-style duet
- sound production for a wedding ceremony
- our drummer is an ordained minister and does an excellent job officiating weddings!
The Retreat's draw extends beyond their musical talent: over-the-top professionalism in customer service and an infectious personality also set them apart. Simply put, these are 5 people that are fun to be around. From the first email contact on through to the big night, they are partnering with you to help write the story of your event; helping to make memories and give you something truly special and unforgettable.

Perfect wedding band
The Retreat was phenomenal for our wedding. Rich was very accomodating in preparation of the wedding. My friends are still complementing the saxophone during cocktail hour & the setlist. The dance floor was full for the entire reception - the entire bance was so fun with a mix of classics, motown, and current pop. The only issue was that we have an entire cake left over because no one would leave the dance floor to eat it!Sent on 02/02/2020

Army Unit Dining Out
From the moment they arrived until the time they left, the members of The Retreat were friendly, respectful and just downright awesome! This was the first year that we had a live band and they really helped to enhance the night! We have never had that many soldiers and dates stay for the dancing portion of the night! They also had no problem dealing with our shifting schedule for the evening. I cannot wait to hire them again next year!!!Sent on 02/09/2020
