Established in 1986, in Old Town Gaithersburg, The Prime Choice began as a family owned butcher shop. After a taste of success the three Shepard brothers David, Douglas and Richard boldly branched out when they purchased the shabby but chic old restaurant next door. Clients enjoyed the freshly prepared menu and personalized service and David Shepard especially enjoyed the interaction with his clients. David, the adventurer took the family business one step further and began The Prime Choice Caterers. The new catering company’s first client was IBM.

Continuing the legend and success of the family business, in 2003 Brian Shepard joined in the excitement as Catering Director. For decades David Shepard, Executive Chef, and his professional staff have been providing Montgomery County and Metro DC with cuisine abounding with flavor and flawless service.
